Very central. Start of season might be a little chilly but so is Minnesota in the MLS.

    Isn't Omaha on NISA's radar also ?
It Rochester,MN lands an USL affiliate for MNUFC, and with USL teams in KC, STL and even Col Springs,OKC, Tulsa, you have some nice geographical rivals.

PAPILLION, Neb. – First-half goals by Evan Conway and Greg Hurst paved the way to the first USL League One title in Union Omaha’s history as the hosts took a 3-0 victory over Greenville Triumph SC on Saturday evening at Werner Park.

Los Buhos secured the title before a League One Final record crowd of 5,521 fans as the side that finished with the best record in the regular season claimed its first silverware to cap a remarkable second season.

Chesco United and AZUL GALAXY repped this.

The Omaha metro is well over 750k (almost 1 million now) so it would meet those standards. Stadium is big enough as well. The issue is if their primary owner has the appropriate net worth. For D3 it's $10 million but for D2 it's $20 million.
