How did the Rapids not go with Colorado Springs instead of Charlotte, it would have been better on so many levels?
They probably thought Charlotte would be a better organization to develop their young talent than Colorado Springs.
I think with the completion of the MLS-USL affiliation news for 2015 we will now place this completely off-topic thread to rest. I'll remind our posters that MLS affiliations are not actually USL expansion news, although many MLS teams creating new USL Pro teams certainly is. If you wish to create a new general USL expansion new thread, feel free to do so.
I don't think it's too early to start thinking about 2016 season. Probably top of list of prospective teams would probably have to be Detroit. Not sure if they have improved in lining up that investment they need to move forward. And in the wishful thinking, you probably have the usual group of teams that people here would love to see move up. I.E. Tucson, Des Moines and Fresno. But like this year, I'm thinking the majority of expansion will be MLS 2 teams.
