I don't have a Pac-12 account, so I just watched the 5 minutes free-sample time. USD scored twice in that time. USD 3-1 UCLA at half. All 3 USD goals came after UCLA defensive errors. USD's Miguel Berry has 2 goals.
UCLA now has a losing record. Again. Since losing the final of the 2014 NCAA Tournament in PKs, the Bruins are 43-42-6 and haven't advanced past the second round of the NCAA Tournament. That's what UCLA, which has sent more players to the national team and MLS than any other in the country, is right now - just an average program. Now, it's mostly not the fault of the current coach, who inherited a mess both on, and especially off, the field. But he also has a lot of talent compared to the majority of other programs. I still think this coach will turn it around and he deserves a grace period to do so. But damn, it's odd to see UCLA be so mediocre for such a prolonged time.
Agree with Sandon about UCLA though they have played a very tough schedule as evidenced by their RPI. They will be better next year and I think back to being a power the year after.
