A little Old School USA last October would have gone a long way.

Adams was the worst US player. He doesn't know what to do with the ball when he is in the middle and that's hopeless against France level competition. He was where the ball went to die. He is successful along the touch line.

Yeah, I have a feeling they'd get him sent off.

Steffen (8) thank God, we have found our #1. The shot stopping ability is obvious but he gets credit for an organized defense.

Moore (5) he’s worth seeing again but it’s clear he was a bit overwhelmed by the world class talent of France. That said, he still held his own for the most part.

Parker (8) a few hiccups but otherwise an almost flawless match. The comparison to Besler seems accurate. He belongs with the USMNT. All his mistakes looked like they could improve with experience.

Miazga (9) please be okay!!!! Chelsea may want to hold onto the young defender if he keeps playing like that. World class performance tonight.

Carter-Vickers (7) I deducted one point for the mistake that lead to the goal but otherwise he was flawless.

Robinson (8) our left back for the future! He is outstanding. A loan to the Championship is likely but he looks like he belongs in the EPL.

Trapp (5) did well captaining the team and was not bad by any means, but definitely not at the level of France.

McKennie (7) Jermaine Jones 2.0. This team would have been blown out of the water if not for him.

Adams (6) Clearly belongs at this level.

Wood (3) I’m not going to completely down vote his rating because we are playing such a top quality opponent, but he belongs buried in our depth chart, hopefully.

Green (7) quiet game for the most part, but an amazing goal. Reminds me a little of Clint Dempsey in that his first instinct is to try and score and he might not doing anything all game until he scores.

    Corona (5) didn’t offer anything.

Sargent (5) didn’t get any service but needs to hold up when he can.

    Yedlin (5) didn’t offer anything.

    Villafana (N/R)

Sarachan (9) I don’t want him as the full time coach but credit needs to be given that he has far exceeded expectations as caretaker.

McKennie + Robinson were able to match the speed of France's right side, with Pogba + Mbappe. That's no small achievement.

I expected a huge score. But Team USA was more solid.
Great game for the goal keeper.

For the first time in many years we hadn't had a solid #1. For the past 6 months it's essentially been an open audition between several GKs, but I believe that Zach Steffan just won that job today, and not just for what he did today.

a)blood...visual proof of an injury...blood just doesn't come out of ur skin for no reason..especially when right before that you clash heads with someone else...who is also bleeding from that same spot on their head.

b)player goes to grown holding their head and doesn't get up and player near them stars waving for the trainer.

you don't need to be a doctor to know there was an injury and you don't need to be a scientist to know the world isn't flat common sense is enough.

We already have the technology for ultra-light, ultra-slim protective helmets.

The problem is that at $120 a pop, half the planet couldn't afford them at all.

I think you might need someone faster partnered with Miazga. I'd rather see Miazga and EPB, who I think has the range and speed to be a better version of Besler, Miazga being a better version of Gonzalez.

Ever heard of a scrum cap? Why not give players those?

Never saw a player get the cut wrapped and continue playing? No need to in a meaningless game, but if the doctor cleared them they’d be back in a meaningful game

Well maybe you shouldn’t say anything about our town if you haven’t been here.

Unless you wanna move here and buy an awesome house. But you probably couldn’t take the heat.

Yeah, there was a debate about it, and some people didn't think it'd be enough. In soccer, when you go for a header, it's a direct head-to-head smash often on the thinnest point of the skull (temples & above).

That doesn't happen in rugby, where the point is to protect the ears during the scrum, when you push with your head on the side of the other guy's head and that can cause his ear to explode ("cauliflower").

That's different from the direct, brutal impact of a head-to-head soccer collision.

what happened for you to get the stitches?

you should've been evalutated, this happened at the most recent olympics? if not when?

so when you were hit you just stood up no problem continued with practice like it was nothing?

My whole point was that Twellman wasn’t qualified to make any determination
