Really hope they don’t. Only thing easing this Turner BRLive coverage news is that Univision has the Spanish rights in the US and have said they will stream every match online (good chance of no extra charge) + they’ll air 4 games per matchday across Univision, UniMas, and a couple other channels. These are probably in most of your packages already or can be added on for a cheap rate. I pay $5/month to add on ESPN Deportes, Univision, beIN, Unimas, and a couple more. BRLive, where Turner will be streaming their games, will be $80/year, $10/month, and $3/match.
It's crazy all these streaming things u have to buy. I already have ESPN+ so still hoping on ESPN picking it up. Can't believe nothing yet.
Xfinity dropped beIN altogether and Fios will stop showing it tonight at midnight until they negotiate a deal.
BeIN sucked for me on xfinity anyways, don’t even think it came in HD. $80 to stream all champions league games isn’t so bad a deal. Paid $100 for the Fox match pass. If you don’t support Barca/Real/ManU it’s hard to see your team on TV.
Comcast didn't offer bein HD because they wanted you to watch PL, shown on their affiliate NBC. They don't really know how it works in the soccer world.
Yeah that’s why they didn’t support bein connect either. I am switching to fios next month. Hope it doesn’t have its own issues.

ESPN awarded Serie A TV rights in United States https://t.co/JNCFO7AhkF— Get Italian Football News (@_GIFN) August 7, 2018
Hopefully more info will come out soon. I will get it if they have the "Replay" option to watch these matches later since I can't watch a lot of Roma matches live.
Come September ESPN doesn't know any other sport exists besides College Football. Serie A games will be on...
Miles better than bein. Give me streaming like when it used to be on espn3. Also, coupled with Ronaldo, this might force ESPN to pretend Serie A exists, which is good for the league.
I wouldn't count on it. Go go espnfc front page, no mention they won the rights. It's not even on the front page of the Serie A page.
I'm guessing they announce it tonight during the broadcast and use that as their big unveil of sorts?
http://romapress.us/2018/08/07/espn-acquires-serie-a-broadcasting-rights-in-us/ - "the agreement will bring more than 340 matches per season to ESPN+" - "Starting this month, ESPN+ will carry an average of nine matches live each week " - "ESPN networks will televise a Serie A TIM Match of the Week — close to 40 matches per season." I wonder how many of the "match of the week" games will be Juventus? Fcuk it, I'll take it- who am I kidding.. - "Most telecasts will air on ESPN and ESPN2, and the Match of the Week will also be available in Spanish on ESPN Deportes." - "Additionally, ESPN+ will exclusively feature one-hour season preview and review programs, a weekly preview and highlight shows and a Serie A TIM goals of the week program." lol , if it's the ESPN FC crew doing it. They'd be wise to hire some additional pundits. -------------------- This is big news for Serie A, I don't see the point in being cynical about it. The league has to make a bigger dent in the North American market if it wants to truly grow , and this is a necessary step towards doing it. I don't care how minimized some feel it will be, they had to get their foot in the door. All I can say is : thank you, Cristiano. (you're still overrated)
It would be big if they televised more than 1 game a week. How many have ESPN+. I mean I’m happy but I can’t see this making a dent
You're correct about SA making inroads in the US and ESPN is probably the the best way. It's overdue and if it means getting almost no money the league needs to get as much exposure here as possible. It's just my loathing for all things Disney that turns my stomach
I’ll be getting ESPN+ for $5/month, since only 1 match will air on TV per week. I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to watch on demand. When ESPN+ has PS4 app support, I’ll be golden.
Can't wait to cancel my DIRECTV Sports Pack since I don't need BeIN Sports anymore! I can that monthly fee and buy a grey kit
I get beIN with the Deportes Pack, $5/month. Can’t get rid of it, my dad is a Madrid fan. @wm72, replay/on demand will be available, confirmed.
1 match a week is kind of crap, but still miles better than BEIN. ESPN+ does seem pretty neat though. Having full game replays on demand sounds so damn nice for someone on the West coast.
You can watch up to 5 devices at a time with espn+. So if people want to they buddy up with 5 friends and it comes out to 12.50 a year. Bargain.
