45th minute foul on Altidore; despite the politeness of the announcers, are we all agreed that not giving a red in a competitive match would have been indefensible?
Oh dear, the Ref made a mess out of that one (Iceland's second goal). First, he got the foul the wrong way. Second, is it just me, or does he put his hand up to stop play, and then lets Iceland take a quick FK?
I agree that it should have been a DOGSO ejection. As for the second goal, the announcers didn't complain about the referee's call. Maybe the referee put his hand up to tell Michael Bradley to stop arguing, rather than to stop play. Unfortunately, I found long highlights that do not include the free kick that led to that goal. U.S. Soccer has posted highlights of the goals, but not the one video with highlights of many plays yet. I will keep looking for that.
