I am seeing people unhappy about ticket prices, what would people consider a good price range for these? I compare it in my mind to the time I tried to get Bronco tickets for me and my son. It would have been $400 (total) off craigslist for crappy tickets.
Got mine. I clicked to go back and check other sections for seats, and when I went to go buy my seats, almost accidentally bought 1st row seats at $200 a pop! Yikes. The center most sideline (104, 109, 126, 131) were already fairly picked over. Good thing w/one deck, all the seats at DGSP are good!
25.00 "convenience" fee. 20.00 parking-on top of inflated ticket prices. This may be my last rodeo with these thieves.
To be fair to KSE, the USSF runs ticketing for these events. Even to the point, literally, in kicking the KSE staff out of the ticketing office/cubicles so they can use them. So they may be at fault. I ended up with section 126 row 22 despite buying as soon as I could. 4 years ago I was able to get row 2 in the same scenario. The front row set prices are ridiculous but beyond that I didn't think they were that bad. Maybe the top level (sections 105-108 and 127-130) midfield price of $120 is high but other than that its about what I would expect. Even the "convenience fees" which were $13 each on my $90 ticket weren't horrible given that's how the industry does things now. Though dropping the $20 parking on top of that does become a bit much.
Only 6 rows behind me and I got mine yesterday morning. I think us soccer blocked off a good portion of 126 in advance. I could have gotten row 4 in 127, but didn't feel it was worth the extra cost after fees, and I didn't bother looking elsewhere since it's my usual section.
I think the 126/109 type sections are pretty popular, too, as the best seats in that price tier. I assume they charge the prices they think they can sell. I'd rather pay even $120 for this than for the run of the mill Avs/Nuggets game; lower bowl seats in the center sections for those games are just as much. If those teams were to make the playoffs with a reasonable chance to advance (thus, with fan enthusiasm backing them), I'm sure a fan would be wishing they could find a $120 seat to those games. As soccer in the US gets more popular, this is what we'll run into more and more, and I'm pretty sure our soccer teams/orgs will go the route of Arsenal (high prices) rather than Bundlesliga (trying to preserve some accessibility).
To preserve accessibility they'd have to move this to the NFL stadium; I wonder if they'd ever do that? I'm not sure about the winter qualifiers, but I think they would sell out this summer on there.
I can provide you a code for Tomorrow's sale to US Soccer supporters? @22SteveD Your buying this round
If anyone is looking to sell two tix, please let me know. The stubhub prices are beyond what I can justify to myself. Thanks
I live less than a mile from Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Stapleton. The Yanks will have a 10 day training camp that starts on Memorial Day, May 29th. Does anybody know what time of day they typically train? I'd like to ride my bike over and check out the sessions.
I don't know about the training schedule, the US Soccer site usually posts about open sessions...though do they require tickets for that? But watch out droog, if you get caught you'll be strapped down with your eyelids pinned open and you'll be forced to watch Rapids games.
T&T announced that they're going to have 2 closed door scrimmages against the Rapids before the qualifier.
