Boston City’s Second Round Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup home match against GPS Omens will be played on Wednesday, May 17, at 7pm at Harry Della Russo Stadium in Revere.

Boston City’s transportation partner Malden Trans plans to run a free shuttle bus from Wonderland T station to the venue. The match will be played at Harry Della Russo Stadium (75 Park Avenue, Revere, MA) due to the club’s usual home venue in Malden being unavailable.

Second Round opponent GPS Omens is the reigning champion of the Bay State Soccer League (BSSL) Division One and qualified for the U.S. Open Cup this year by beating Southie FC 4-2 and then Newtown Pride FC 3-1. GPS beat PDL club Portland Phoenix 2-0 in their First Round match away from home last Wednesday.

A Third Round clash with either the Rochester Rhinos of the USL or USASA qualifier FC Motown awaits the winner on Wednesday, May 31, venue TBC.

    #USOC2018 stats:
In the never ending argument of which league within the open division is better.
This year, @NPSLSoccer got the better of the @USLPDL 10-5 (including PKs as "wins").
Now the PDL's all-time lead in @usopencup play is down to 37-36 (34-27-12, 3-9 PKs)

CHICAGO (Aug. 23, 2021) – Ninety-two amateur teams have been approved for entry into the qualifying rounds for the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup - U.S. Soccer's National Championship.
A number of the entrants will see action in the first qualifying round, set for Sept. 18-19, with the matchups to be announced by U.S. Soccer on Aug. 25. The history-filled annual tournament, entering its 107th edition, is the only high-profile event in American team sports where amateur sides have the opportunity, should they advance far enough, to face professionals in meaningful national competition.
