http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11718/7551744/McCoy-on-international-duty Wycombe defender Marvin McCoy has flown out to the Caribbean for an international friendly with Antigua and Barbuda. McCoy started his first game in five weeks as Wanderers beat Hartlepool 5-0 on Saturday and then flew out to Antigua the following day. The 23-year-old will hope to earn his fourth cap against Trinidad and Tobago in St John's on Wednesday. McCoy will then travel back to England ahead of Wycombe's crunch clash with relegation rivals Scunthorpe, but the 8,000-mile round trip could make the right-back a doubt for the game at Glanford Park.

He asked if it was the same team from Qualifiers and, off the top of my head, all but Mercado, Vasquez, Rosario, Cordero, and Gamero played in Qualifiers, even if only briefly.

http://www.antiguaobserver.com/?p=71769 ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Antigua & Barbuda will feature five England-based players in their friendly international against Trinidad and Tobago’s Soca Warriors here at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Grounds. This is according to the manager of the senior national team, Benna Boys, Fernando “Nando” Abraham, who said the five would include Nottingham Forest’s Dexter Blackstock who had a double for his team over the weekend. The contest, though, has been moved to a much earlier starting time than was previously advertised. “The game will be at 4:45 pm and there is a reason for that in we have to accommodate the overseas players that we have. They need to take a flight that same evening, and in order for it to happen, that’s how we have to do it. We have to play the game early. It is a little bit unfortunate for the ones that are going to get off late, but I am just asking them that once they get off work just drive straight up to the grounds and support the team,” Abraham said. “Five overseas players will be here. They are Dexter Blackstock, who scored two goals (Saturday) for his team, Nottingham Forest against Birmingham; then we have Anton Blackwood, a defender who plays with Spurs for a bit; Justin Cochrane, Marvin McCoy and Keiran Murtagh,” he added. According to the former national defender, there are a number of other England-based players who will not be featured in the T&T clash, as the FA is mindful that the senior team must maintain a perfect blend and/or mixture of local and those players based outside of the country. “Mikele Leightwood did not come. Mark Joseph did not come, and there are others that we are looking at. But at the same time, we are not going to just go crazy and bring 20 overseas players here. So we have to know what we are doing and do it properly and coach Curtis knows exactly what he wants at a given time and he will do that,” he said. “We don’t mind where the person is from, provided that they have an Antiguan connection and they can play for Antigua, they would be able to get a legit Antigua (& Barbuda) passport, then we can feature them in the team.” Abraham, who is also an executive member of Antigua & Barbuda Football Association, added that following Wednesday’s clash, the team will fly to St Kitts while they are currently in negotiations with a number of other teams for possible matches. “We have a game in St Kitts on Saturday and returning to Antigua in the evening; but we have several other warm-up matches that we are looking at before the 8th of June. We are looking at Venezuela. We are looking at Brazil. But at the moment, there are no confirmed dates that have been made with those teams or clubs that we are hoping to deal with so if you can give probably another couple of weeks or so, we should be able to give you exact dates for those games,” he said. The other members of Wednesday’s squad include goalkeepers Molvin James and Keita DeCastro; defenders George “Sowa” Dublin, Akeem “Leppy” Thomas, Karanjah Mack and Dave “Little Man” Carr, along with midfielders Lawson “Boy Blue” Robinson, Kimoi Alexander, Quinton Griffith and Eugene Kirwan. Strikers Kerry “Arab” Skepple, Peter “Big Pete” Byers, Stephan Smith, Ranjae Christian and Gason “Bubbler” Gregory complete the 20-man squad. The Trinidad contest carries an entrance fee of $20 per adult and $10 per school child. Children 10 years old and under and accompanied by an adult will be allowed to enter for free.
