A game every other day. Players were selected from NCAA universities. (IIRC, in 2015 they just sent a team from Colorado. In 2017, they're doing that with Purdue wbb, Houston t&f, Iowa baseball, and Maryland wbb, but not woso.) Data are from the 2017 Main Results page. You might need to drill down to "football", then Women's Event. Lineups are in numerical order by positions, not actual formations. 08/18 Fri A02.Korea 3-0 USA 2 Bruder (North Carolina), 10 Baisden (Pepperdine), 12 Zlatic (Harvard) 4 Dooley (Kentucky), 7 Ayers (Southern California), 23 Valente (Leeds Beckett), 24 Jobanek (Western Washington) 14 Ressler (Oklahoma), 26 Bonsall (Cal Poly), 28 Miller (Gonzaga) 1 Seabert (Pepperdine) 08/20 Sun A09.Chinese Taipei 1-2 USA (Zlatic 1', Baisden 54'; Lee Hsiu Chin 90+1') 9 Baisden, 12 Zlatic, 13 Irwin (New Mexico) 6 Stanton (Colorado), 7 Ayers, 24 Jobanek 14 Ressler, 22 Gersh (George Washington), 26 Bonsall, 28 Miller 1 Seabert 08/22 Tue A12.USA 1-0 Argentina (Bruder 30') 2 Bruder, 9 Baisden, 11 Padilla (Pacific), 13 Irwin 6 Stanton, 7 Ayers 14 Ressler, 22 Gersh, 26 Bonsall, 28 Miller 1 Seabert
Weird 13-team format, so Pool A had 4 teams and the rest had 3. Top 2 in each pool crossover for the QFs (A-B and C-D), bottom 5 teams play for 9th-13th. Seabert scrambles back, raises hands to catch face-high, squeezes too soon -- ball squirts out straight down and over line, gets knee-volleyed into back right low anyways. It's a shame. I was already anticipating a classic USA-Japan clash: now we'll have to settle with South Africa. Did you see the whole match, Gilmoy? Are South African very dangerous in your opinion? Which are their strong and weak points?
No highlights, but you can replay the Livestream on demand. I just made my own "highlights" by random-sampling every 10' or so, and then using binary search to home in on the goal. That highlight clip shows most of her reaction ... but not all of it. They edited it to spare the viewer.
Japan has beaten South Africa by 4-0 and are now in the final match. I want to believe that it wouldn't have been so easy for us vs USA. The final is vs Brazil, that already beat Japan by 3-1 at group stage. This Euro 2017 seems to indicate that results at group stage tend to repeat in the final, but other tournaments in the past suggest otherwise...

One painful mistake knocked us out of medal contention, and South Africa wasn't ready for that level, either.
The final was a very tight affair that was decided in extra-time, after a 0-0 in the 90'. Although the game had been quite balanced, frankly Japan had the best chances to score in regular time (including a crossbar), but they suffered for their chronic (at all levels) abysmal converting ratio.
