That midfield trip has been all we thought they’d be. Positive from them. Weah has been confident. Miazga has looked good. It’s crazy that it’s essentially the u23 players who actually look like the belong. Yedlin has been poor but that’s not normal for him. I think he’s just having a rough game. Bobby Wood continues to affirm what we’ve known about him for a long time. He had a really good run there for a while but he’s regressed. CCV doesn’t look too comfortable but he’s still got time to grow into his game. Rubin has been nonexistent.
Weah is growing on me. Watching him at u-17 level I didn't think he'd amount to anything...now he looks like he could be a real player. Credit to him and PSG for the huge improvement. Bad tackle aside, I'm underwhelmed by CCV. He doesn't seem comfortable passing out of the back and I think his style would be a major liability at the CONCACAF level.
Oh, that's how exactly how these things work. I am not mexican. I don't even care, but the obvious over-reaction to the mexican guys on these boards has been going on forever. There should be a little spot of darker green on those idiotic rainbow jerseys.
I know this team is very young and and it is just coming together but it looks like it is the same old style of playing where they move the ball around with some pace but there is no creativity whatsoever let alone intelligence.

How long until we accept that Bobby Wood isn’t ‘on bad form’ and just accept that this is as good as it gets. We’re waiting on him to become a player that he’s never shown he can be. I’ve got no problem with him being a part of the national team picture but I don’t see anything from him that makes me think he can be the leading #9 for our national team.
Villafana isn't international quality. He's out of position far too often and not fast enough. What he offers going forward is completely negated by what he lacks defensively.
I think the point is that those players are written off much faster or have a very short leash if not in Europe.
