Not that CJ is undeserving, but what does the USMNT gain by bringing him in? He won’t be of any value come 2022 which should be the only real focal point right now. It’s not like CJ has this huge ammount of USMNT experience to act in a mentor role..(which is why I think you could make a valid argument for Bedoya.). This call-up is reminiscent of Jim refusing to play the kids.
Camp Cupcake comes early. One could argue that there are a good chunk of players called up that won't have much of an impact - if any - in 4+ years.
Probably shows to MLS lifers that it's possible to get called up with improvement. I don't think I would compare it to Curtin, because outside CJ and Ale, it's all future.

I most likely will not go. I don't want to tie up my holiday with a completely meaningless 7 pm game against a country where im not even sure what continent they are on (are they in South America or somewhere in Eastern Europe? No one really knows) and then have to go to work the next day
Won't be around. Would only go if ticket prices are reasonable. In the past they were way too expensive.
Not a surprise, but the USMNT game is not selling that well. Ticket prices start at $28 for behind the goal across from TRE so ticket cost is not the issue. Here's a tip: I contacted my STH rep and was able to purchase tickets for face value without a service fee. I got 4 tickets so it saved me $38.

Dockal has been called up for the Czech Republic's upcoming matches against Ukraine and Russia (Sept 6 and 10).

Unfortunately, due to his ankle injury Dockal was withdrawn from the national team. The good news is that he has some time to recover.
