I actually really like the Speciali and have loved the Medusae. The Velocita is a total homage to the F50, but it's a decent release. Outside of the clunky UX-2, I think Umbro actually has a high quality stable of boots.

looks to some extent inspired by the Joma Top Flex (in terms of the upper) and the Joma Free sole tbh

How's the sizing in the new Speciali Eternal? I really like the look and want to give them a try, but I've never worn Umbro before, so I'm a bit unsure about their sizing.

I used to wear UK 8 in all Adidas boots (except Copas, 7.5 there) and right now I use a pair of Mizuno Morelias in 26.5.

Anyone got any ideas what size Speciali I should be getting?

    Cheers

EDIT: The place where I'm buying from list their sizes in US, so getting an answer either in EU or US would be great.

I got a pair of the newest Specialis recently (these ones http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads...ts-11-post-your-pictures-here.1995079/page-47 ). Compared with my MiJ Morelias the Specialis are half a size bigger. I wear a US 11 in Mizuno and a US 11.5 in Umbro. I haven't broken the Umbros in too much yet so they may stretch, but I don't think I would have wanted to go down half a size.

That sounds about right. Remember Adidas UK sizing is wrong so a UK8 in Adidas is really UK7.5.

I have had my feet measured to be UK8 .... and I wore UK8.5 in Adidas LZs and 27cm in Mizuno Morelias - which both match up to US9 on size charts - (looks like the same ratio as you)

I haven't worn the proper top end new Specialis, but I have a pair of the turf trainers (which are essentially take downs because they don't do a top end model... cost £60 new), and I have them in UK8 (US9)

    Hope that helps!

Great looking boots. Really like the simplicity of the outsole. Too bad won't see it here in the US for sale

Did Umbro decide to pull out of the US market?

Well they were only sold by Dicks Sporting Goods and Soccer.com so when those guys gave up there was nothing left.

Yea Dick's still sells some Umbro stuff. I think only kids stuff though. They do have the CLASSIC Umbro shorts with the square pattern. Maybe I'll go look for a kids XXXL in them :ROFLMAO:.

Dicks has a deal with Umbro to use their logo on generic soccer stuff. In reality many of the "Umbro" products they sell are actually made by Dicks.

Man, I'd love to get a pair of UX accuro or the medusae from PDS but I'm worried the import fees/customs fees to ship to the US would be astronomical. Anyone have an idea?

Naah shouldn't be too bad. Customs fees only hit for purchases over $200.

I just checked. It will be about $170 including shipping. They don't charge for taxes since the order would be from overseas.

Let us know how you like them and how they fit and feel when you get them. I've been so close to getting a pair but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
