Kamara has no combination play. Meram could use his teammates more. Could be worse. We've been the better team but that hasn't meant much this season.
Typical 3-4-2-1 performance. Team looks solid defensively, still unsure of how to go forward offensively.
WTF was that pass manneh? He had a clear lane to the penalty area, decided to deliver a super lazy pass to jimenez wide.
Will the move out of town be like the browns with art modell or a colts style where one day moving trucks show up with no clue beforehand?
Nobody looked terrible last night. It was a good team performance. Phillies goalkeeper kept them in the game. If they want to have good attendance. Schedule games heavily in May, June, September and October. Don't lose home games when you have a sell out crowd. Spend money on players contractually to get them out into the public more often. Pretty simple.
Naess has to much talent to ride the pine. I hope he finds a better coach to play for. Kekuta still looks like he plays soccer because he can...at times just looks lazy..lacks a competitive nature..no passion.
Not a great performance really by any means. Needed a fortuitous deflection to get a 1-0 home victory versus a team missing arguably their 3 best players (Sapong, Blake, Pontious) coming off a short week. That said, we held them to zero shots on goal and a win at Philly on Saturday would put us 11 points ahead of Philly with them having only 13 games left in the season. That would be enough in my mind to not consider Philadelphia a real threat for that 6th and final playoff spot.
They were actually missing 5 of their top 6 attackers. No Sapong, Picault, Pontious, Alberg, or Herbers. All they had was Ilsinho. That takes a little luster off the fact that our defense looked very good once again playing 3 at the back, but I'll take it. Mensah actually looked competent last night. 3 at the back suits all the guys last night, Mensah, Crognale, and Abubakar. All of our full backs are trash though. Seriously, if we stick with this formation next year, we seriously need a new starting right back and left back. None of the guys we got now can deliver a cross consistently, sometimes even just semi-consistently. Our offense is terrible though with our 3-4-2-1 formation. Ola needs to help out more with possession, but that's just not his game. We can make Ola work with our 4-2-3-1, not sure it will work with the 3 man back line though. I only wanna start one of Meram or Manneh. Both are only good on the left. If you force one out right, you're essentially playing with 10 men. Last night I thought Artur and Abubakar were excellent. Glad GB finally gave Martinez a couple minutes. Manneh had one or two nice shots, but the man just has no work ethic. With the way Tchani and Vancouver are playing since the trade, and considering they got a truck load of money as well, we for sure lost that trade. No even close right now.
After last night, I don't think there's any reason why Abubakar and Corgnale should not start from here on out.
