Apparently, it's been 9 months since United have scored twice in the first half at OT. Long time. Sloppy from Fred: thank God it did not cost anything in the end.
And Rashford gets his, 3-0. And from his left? Marcus Rashford’s goal (3-0) https://t.co/3qu4ErFSS3— United Goals ⚽️ (@UnitedGoals__) November 7, 2019
Maguire looks to have hurt himself. Jones is on the bench, send him on Ole. No need to take any risks here.
Another good freekick from Fred this time: keeper had it covered. Good to see the boys mixing it up and not have Rashford thump it every single time.
Finally Ole making a sub: Garner about to come on. Fred making way. AP is the next one to come into the fray, for Rashford. Finally. McTominay now is off for Lingard. Eventhough Ole had to wait for him to apparently pick something up. Well done if he can't go over the weekend... Limping and going straight to the dressing room.
FT: 3-0. Easy from the guys today, against a pretty poor Partizan team. And they're thru to the group stage as well. Only real negative is McTominay who look to have picked up a knock. Really hope it's nothing more a couple of days off will take care of.
Martial would be mine. The attack as a whole was pretty good today, with the only blemish being on Rashford's finishing in the first half. Game should have been done and dusted by the end of the first half. But was good everywhere else and so were Mata and Greenwood in my estimation. Games vs poor defenses that will give us plenty of time and acres of space are the ones where Mata can still thrive. And the partnership between Rashford and Martial is definitely a positive for us: they understand and compliment one another very well. With time, it stands to reason it can only get better and better.
As stated previously in this thread, he clearly looks like a guy who has been playing way too much as of late. Was pretty apparent vs B'mouth and again today. And to make matters worse, he came off injured: probably just a knock but with Brighton in mind, it's a legit concern.
I loved the work Greenwood put in prior to the second goal. Stayed with the play and applied pressure to the Partizan player who subsequently spilled the ball over to Martial.

Greenwood was the player actually named MotM today. Cool view of Martial's goal. 1192571782697496583 is not a valid tweet id
Our midfield is still pretty shoddy, even with that win. I don't think there's any reason not to start or give hefty minutes to Garner. I'd look at giving Levitt some sub minutes too, since we've already qualified. We were very lucky defensively, we were committing to only having 2 at the back when we attacked and Partizan have got some very fast, technical players who let themselves down. Maguire had some shonky moments, 2 at the back does not suit him at all. Martial and Rashford's goals sum them both up. One shows incredible composure and finesse in the face of high pressure, calmness cutting through the chaos. The other misses loads of big chances trying to belt the ball in, and then eventually thwacks one into the top corner. As we've all said, Rashford would be a great player if he had more tools in his belt than just a hammer.
