Oh, ok: I hadn't noticed they had different dates. Where can I see how the actual matches panned out?
U17 Group 6 (B&H hosts) Bosnia&Hercegovina 0 - 4 Poland (Tomasiak 9', Achcińska 24'(p), Filipczak 72', Glinka 80+4') Keep an eye on Tomasiak (no.7) she's still raw but quickly emerging as future talent. Austria 0 - 0 Turkey Austrians with quite a stumble here (23 shots and no goals) Let's see if history can be repeated. In 2013 Poland eliminated Austria in Elite round and later won U-17 Championship tourney.
U17 Group 6 (BiH hosts) 2nd matchday Poland 2 - 0 Turkey (Tomasiak 29'(p), Legowski 69') Austria 3 - 0 Bosnia & Herzegovina (Wagner 52', Freiser 75', Wurzer 80+1') Group 7 (Germany hosts) 1st matchday Germany 5 - 0 Azerbaijan (Stegemann 8', Corley 20', Aehling 56', Fudalla 57', Bernhardt 76') Iceland 2 - 1 Republic of Ireland (Vilhjálmsdóttir 22'(p), Jónsdóttir 69' - Whelan 45') Group 2 (France hosts) 1st matchday Scotland 0 - 6 France (Kazadi Ntambwe 31' 40+2', Revelli 44', Schmeler 60', Dufour 74', Roth 79') Sweden 1 - 4 Finland (Vuorinen 12' 60', Siren 13', Kantanen 80+1' - Lang 27')
Wow, I don't know anything about this age group in those countries, but this result seems quite unexpected to me!
Thanks, it looks like Finland was squarely the best team, not a fluke or anything of the kind. That surprises me (especially given Sweden's tradition) but the article makes it clear nonetheless. I didn't even remember Sandrine Soubeyrand was U-17 coach for France. How is she doing so far? Less criticized than in her last years in NT as a player under Bini?
