Slavia vs Rosengård tonight: Eskilstuna vs Wolfsburg here (if you pay 89 SEK) : https://footballtv.solidtango.com/live/eskilstuna-united-vs-wolfsburg
And why is it every time I see Barcelona, it looks like they've signed a new crop of players.... They have signed new players, haven't they..?
They signed Andressa Alves, one of Brazil's best players, as well signed Denmark's Reddik Hansen. Barcelona also got about 9 Spanish NT's(though they might not be all current/regulars). On paper, they should be a formidable, but don't really know if the Spanish League their in is that good of a training ground to take on the stronger opponents that they'll eventually run into in the CL? The league has very few internationals as well as half of Spain's top play in outside the country. But hopefully their recent success at the youth level will change that
Tonight's action: Brøndby v Manchester City ..... 1-1 (1-2 on agg.) Twente v Barcelona ................... 0-4 (0-5 on agg.) Rosengård v Slavia Prague ....... 3-0 (6-1 on agg.) Fortuna Hjørring v Brescia .... 4-1 (5-1 on agg.) Zürich v Lyon ............................. 0-9 (0-17 on agg.)
0-17 is brutal, was scrolling though the years and in 2011/12 Potsdam beat Glasgow by the same score. Lyon really is playing in their own league and the team to beat. Also no points for Twente yesterday, so Norway has secured its second spot for 2018/19.
The most noteworthy thing about this win, though, is that... *ATTENTION!* SAKI KUMAGAI SCORED A GOAL FROM OPEN PLAY! *ATTENTION!* Well technically it was Barca that secured the spot!
Tonight's action: Rossiyanka v Bayern Munich ............... 0-4 (0-8 on agg.) Wolfsburg v Eskilstuna United .............. 3-0 (8-1 on agg.) Paris St Germain v BIIK-Kazygurt ...... 4-1 (7-1 onn agg.) Through to next round: Manchester City, Barcelona, Rosengård, Fortuna Hjørring, Lyon, Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg and PSG.
Fotuna Hjørring - Manchester City / Wolfsburg - Lyon Rosengård - Barcelona / Bayern Munich - Paris St Germain
Wow, the final from last year in the quarters! Although I am well aware that Wolfsburg don't look as bright as their older self this season.
Ridiculous draw, I've never seen a competition were the two last finalst, and arguably the best teams in Europe, have to face each other in the quarter-final...Anyway let's see things positively, at least French clubs will not face each other till the final, Man.City will probably recruit more top quality which is always good for our movement in general, and last we could finally see Wolfsburg trying to attack Lyon....at leats at home...com'on Germans "grow" some courage don't be scared....
How do you see Barcelona's chances vs Rosengård, guys? Could they make it, or Swedish team remains a level above them?
Rosengard hasn't quite fixed the midfield since losing SBG. If they have an off game, they are very beatable. Their league also has them at a bit of a disadvantage with it being preseason.
PSG is gonna meet Bayern, and Lyon is gonna meet Wolfsburg in the quarterfinals. I guess the other teams are happy now
Of course France got the worst draw. I mean, Norwegian clubs always run into the worst opposition, so by beating our clubs, France got into our path and were handed German opposition in both games. Predictable. In the Champions League you always want what Denmark gets. Good draws every year.
there's two Wolfsburg's out there, one that plays with Carole Graham Hansen, one that plays with out her! But I hear the Wolfies are trying to sign, fresh off her conquest Swedish League, Pernille Harder! Marozsan vs Harder, now thats a great match up indeed!
50/50 game in my opinion, anything can happen. Yeah! So that means they will finally attack against OL...
Quarterfinals have kicked off in Sweden, and Barcelona are up 0-1 after some really shoddy Rosengård defending. The Swedes also had Lotta Schelin get injured just before half-time, which is not good news. Here's the goal: 844623369970634754 is not a valid tweet id
