it seemed for quite a while that the top players would only join/switch to teams that made the next season's CL. But better money offers seems to be the new 'in' thing, otherwise totally amazing that one of the best fwds in the worlds, Miedema. would ditch her Bayern Munich/CL bound team for one isn't(Arsenal). Frankfurt were the CL champs just two years ago, but most everyone ditched the team since. That's cause the Bundesliga, they don't offer more than 5 figure salaries. I'm sure a few players will leave PSG(Vero usually leaves her a club anyways after one season), but PSG, LYON & the 3 English clubs are the only ones currently offering the bigger salaries. Otherwise it would be based on 'soccer culture; For instance, Henry took a huge pay cut to be part of the Portland Thorns, as well as my two picks as p.o.y, Harder & Hansen, prefer to stay at the famed Wolfsburg, than perhaps the higher paying clubs. and might add PSG might just have a little soccer culture of their own, as they had more enthusiastic fans than Lyon at the final in Cardiff
it's really more about stepping up on the big games'

Didn't see the Wofies/Lyon match up. but the good folks at UEFA did, and they put Pernile, NOT Caro in their all star list!

The German Cup final is the biggest individual Bundesliga game of the year, not only their goes a lot of hoopla & festivities into plus a big TV audience/rating as well as a size able crowd
and guess who stepped unto to the plate in that one?(hint; she scored the only two goals of the game).

Perhaps Caro's game is more subtle, it's just that Pernile style is like hitting you with a freight train!

They will release all the fringe players according to the papers : Goeurts, Sarr, Cissokho, Andonova, Palacin. Delannoy is retiring. Boulleau has extended for one season. Formiga should extend soon.

They are aso trying to keep Cristiane despite the big chinese money offer. And they should get back their Brazilian girl Erika who was released due to injury and to leave a non EU space in the squad.
    Jennifer Hermoso should also sign.

Necib was a fantastic player, but Maro is better in my opinion. She should win Ballon d'or soon...

Not sure. Maybe Maroszan is more "down on earth", if I can say so, she's more able to do what it's needed to win a match that has to be won, but I've seen Nécib do really amazing things, not only in technical terms (both players have similar skills), but in terms of flair and creativity on the pitch... Mind, we're talking two absolut top-players in the history of the women's game, so I am not saying Maro doesn't have those qualities too, but Louisa always had something special to me.

I admit that, especially with France NT, Nécib didn't always manage to show her best when it counted, thus underperforming compared to her immense talent. But, after all, she had scored a wonderful goal vs Germany at WWC 2015: it's not her fault if the rest of the team crumbled apart as they used to do.

Well, I might be slightly biased tho because Maro is one of my favourite players in the women's game :p

If I remember correct, Necib's goal was a deflection from Krahn. The French needed a bit of luck in that game to put the ball in the net. Hopefully they'll be more clinical in the Euro's...

I quite like her, but I guess she's not even close to Maroszan or Nécib.

Sorry, she got more assist and goals than these two combined in WWC.

Still Rapinoe got very good performance in both WWC and 2012 Olympics, Maroszan got chance to catch on but right now Rapinoe is just great.

they say that Rapinoe had an attitude problem when she played at Lyon, that's why Euro people don't seem to like.her/ But your right, she's certainly proven herself where it matters most, the WC. If I remember the semi final. the FB, Leonnie Maier, tends to be one of Germany's dangerous/most potent scoring threat by coming up forward. but taking Meg on almost 1v1, Maier was in full retreat, picking up a yellow along with several other fouls when trying to defend Meg. It's these kind of encounters that make a difference in winning games.

While she's still going strong over at Seattle, she's now 31 & had some injuries since the WC and Ellis in the meantime has brought into the NT several new mids, So not sure if she's coming back or not, NT wise

Yeah, I think Rapinoe is a very good player, but I find Maro better.

Agree on what hotjam2 said, she was very good in the semi final against Germany and she silenced Maier for most of the game.

I think there were some disagreements between the coach and her at the time in Lyon.
I was with a friend in Lyon the evening after her last game for them against PSG and we went to have a few drinks in a bar nearby the ground. I have to say I did not detect any attitude problem.

She doesn't need Lyon to prove herself really.

Of course right now she's getting old and suffer injuries, but she was great in her peak. I became a USWNT fan because of her performance in the 2011 WWC.
