Pogba is definitely in coast mode. Super casual by him so far.

 

I cant remember the last time I enjoyed watching us play. You can tell that the players are getting zero enjoyment out of playing for Jose.

 

I also find him super casual too. For someone who is a star and the club pay him that amount of money, he needs to do better than this.

Why are we playing Fellaini as a #6 against Spanish oppo?

Dont need his “physical presence” but we do need a mobile player who can cut out passing. Plus we need a player who can play out quickly.

Hurts us on defence (as the goal showed) and hurts us going forward too. Either Perreira or Pogba would be more effective there against this oppo.

 

Lukaku is really not a player we'd characterize as a confidence player, but he's painfully devoid of any at the moment. Sad to see tbh and I don't see how his weight/body shape has anything to do with anything, so much as how we're setup, with him pretty much on an island.

Meanwhile, Spanish theatrics land Bailly a bs yellow...

For a guy who spent significant time in La Liga, strange that Mourinho really does not have any real clue as to how to play/coach against Spanish oppo. Seen it last season vs Sevilla, also in the reverse fixture with Valencia at OT. And today, is just another pretty laboured display so far.

We have no shape to our midfield, no partnerships anywhere on the pitch, no understanding.

“Team” looks like they have never played with each other before.

 

I've only half watched as it's hard to really care. But the line-up is utterly shocking. Andreas and Mata as our wingers with Lukaku? Is Pogba meant to be our 10? Valencia as our entire right flank? Rojo on the pitch at all? ******** me.

 

We have become the definition of drones. I am falling asleep.
