@MVP#3 - do you know what is happening on the Dubai stadium front? I see that Al Nasr and Al Shabab have been chosen as Dubai venues for the 2019 Asian Cup. That must mean that the 60K stadium project in Al Aweer is on hold. Will either of these be expanded/renovated? I drive past Al Wasl every day and see zero construction happening. Highly frustrating that we are not able to get a decent stadium in Dubai for some many years now.
Al Wasl stadium is on hold suddenly being the most popular club in the city arguably in the country but not having a decent stadium like you said, don't know about Dubai SC stadium but if its on hold too then expanding Al Shabab stadium and Al Nasr what we will have for 2019.
I guess it also means no Club World Cup games the next two years in Dubai. Al Ain will probably also get chosen as the secondary venue in 2018. After going to the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium for the AFC Champions League semis and final last year I am rather jealous. Why can't we get something built in Dubai. Everything else seems to get built!
