Since the 2nd goal, Jamaica has looked so defeated. This isn't even a match, way to lopsided to properly enjoy. Sorry y'all.
Canada has been relentlessly trying to score this tournament and prove something. They beat this team 2-0.
41' 5-0 Ertz harasses #11 Shaw from behind, takes an inadvertent elbow (placed, not swung) in the solar plexus, is called for fouling Shaw. Ertz goes down to a knee, motions to ref ... then sags to a 5-point stance (knees, forearms, forehead). Stoppage, trainer. 43' 5-0 Ertz walks off unassisted. Just had wind poked out?
If the US qualify, they'll be facing rivals Canada next Wednesday. So far US look to be the more dominating team.
Well that was a first rate performance by the US vs a third rate performance by Jamaica. The result of such a set of tremendously different performances is rather obvious. OK US. You have covered my goal prediction now you can bunker against Jamaica and we can all go to sleep. Actually I expect a few more particularly if the US subs early as the subs are still hungry. I would like to see Pugh to see if she can work her way out of her slump and add even more danger to the US side.
I love the halftime entertainment game! They set up bounce walls around the sides of center circle, put two goals at circle front and circle back, and it was 1-v-1 between two GKs taking shots at each other Save a shot, and you get to shoot!
There is a GK training game similar to that called by many sadistic keeper coaches "Goalie wars." I used to detest that "game" because I was usually the starter and it was the other keeper's chance to knock me out of my next start. More modern GK training uses such a training game a lot less because of the limited value and the danger of injury.
When the field gets wet the chances of serious injury goes down. The US can actually be more aggressive now without increasing their injury risk.
Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerdio Morgan puts too much on the chip after the goalkeeper did a good job to close and take away the easy shot.
I'm not exactly sure but it was not a mistake but rather she held up to see if it would go in for Heath's hat trick. It is hard to judge a bounce off the post and the ball just went were it was not expected once it was clear it was not going in.
