Do we have a call-up list yet?

The roster won't come out until probably later this week.

Maloney is confirmed and I heard Soto is also coming.

Those are two big U-20 debuts this camp

Do you think Maloney accepting this call-up means that he's locked down a starting spot with Union or that they think he's expendable? Or is just neither of them and they want him to get acclimated within the NT setup?

I don’t think he’s a starting XI centerback for Union Berlin to start the season. He’s still only 18.

This is probably a chance to give him games, keep him happy (he really wants to go to this camp), and help with his value. Union is a selling club and a youth international at a U20 WC boosts value

I'd prefer we not call in the guys who are playing in the first team regularly or competing for a spot in it during their upcoming preseason.

So here's a prediction of what a 23 could look like.

    GK: Muse, Garces, Lopez
DF: Perez, Dest, Richards, Rogers, Maloney Araujo, Real, Gloster
MF: Goslin, Servania, Booth, Zawadzki, Mendez, Hundley, Amaya, Jones, Llanez
FW: Soto, de la Fuente, Stojanovic

Alternates: Fowler, Zarris, Crain, Keita, Morris, Seals, Cappis, Brewer, Rennicks, Holcomb, Vines, Asensio, Maher

    Unavailable: Scott(preseason), Lindsey(first team), McKenzie(first team), Durkin(first team), Adams(first team), Sands(first team), Torres(first team), Angking(illness/injured), Mendoza(trial), Carleton(first team), Taitague(injured/first team), Amon(first team), Pomykal(first team), Mines(first team), Sargent(first team), Weah(first team), Akinola(first team)

Surprisingly good "B" team. "A" team, if ever happen, is a serious contender at U-20 WC.You put Mines in and counted him as unavailable as well. I don't think he should go ahead of Llanez anyway. Not Llanez fault that he is with LAG, talent is there.

Changed that. I'd have Llanez in next.

I'd rather us not use U-18 players in this age group, unless they've really earned it. I feel like Araujo, de la Fuente and Booth have done so.

Some of the others? Less so, I'd rather exhaust our '99 and '00 options before throwing in guys who probably aren't ready to play up a level. But if we aren't going to have our full compliment available to even try to exhaust the options, guys like Llanez and Stojanovic might have to factor in.

Ledezma needs to be accounted for. Tab considers him as a key part of the team’s core

He’s there. I just mixed up his name temporarily with that of his teammate at RSL Glademir Mendoza. My mistake, I thought I had something (or two) wrong there but couldn’t figure out what.

He’s on his PSV trial but I believe he’ll be back in time for this camp, unless something changes

I like most of this roster. A lot of players called up who I've been stating should get called up. Garces, Gloster, Zawadzki, Soto, Booth, Maloney among the new names.

    Pomykal:

Guessing that Tab will give Brewer some time at RB like LAFC has been doing.

Maybe as a striker? I think he's been used mostly as a winger in his career.

I think he’s pretty much been a winger but according to this roster, Tab only called in two fullbacks. And with Brewer playing RB with LAFC, wouldn’t shock me if Tab gives him a look there. It took the USSF awhile to list Perez as a Defender.

Then again, not too many wingers on this roster either.
