I am having a hard time finding a plugin that looks good for twitter. I have searched and searched and every time I install on one my site it looks poor. What do you use?

Unless you're using Wordpress or one of the other CMS' you're a bit out of luck. Twitter changed up their API's a little while back, making it a little more restricted when trying to simply insert some code into a website. You can always use the official Twitter widget, and customize it a bit. Other than that there are older scripts out there, but it's a 50/50 crap shoot with them, most don't work.

Thanks for the response. I didn't realize Twitter had is own widget. I was able to just copy and paste the code into the HTML. I must say looks wise its much pretty than any other widget out there.

If you know any CSS you can style it a bit more on your site.

Here is the problem I now have. I used a HTML widget and copy and pasted the text into it. It works flawlessly until I sign out of my twitter account (eventually signing back in). At that point it disappears from the website. Any ideas?

which html widget are you using? there's supposed to be some js code there that will link your twitter username in the code so it's permanently displayed.

Just the one that comes with the theme I am using. Should I get a special one? oh, and thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. I really do appreciate it.

Are you just using an html theme or a CMS like Wordpress, Joomla etc?

there are a lot of nice twitter widgets for Wordpress that you can download which will authenticate through Twitter. You just need to put in some basic information.

That was kinda how I got here. I was doing that and some didn't seem to work well, others looked terrible, and I just generally liked the official twitter widget the best. At this point I was just hoping to be able to copy and paste that code and keep it that way.

It could be that the official twitter app doesn't work well with Wordpress, could have js issues.
