At this point there has not been confirmation from RTPi as to which game(s) will be broadcast for Week 3. I left it like that as opposed to assuming which match would be shown live. We should have that information within the next few days...
Benfica TV launches on October 2nd, with the live transmission of Benfica vs Napoles. It will be on channel 30 for MEO subscribers in Portugal. No word yet on if and when it will be made available to North America though.

I am not so sure if this will be offered to viewers here in North America. Rights issues are going to play a big part on whether this channel can fly outside of Portugal, let alone North America. Also, keep in mind that other clubs with TV channels (i.e. Man Utd, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, etc.) sell blocks of time to certain channels like Setanta Sports, FSC, and so on. Perhaps something like that can happen, but not the actual channel itself. Then again, that's just an opinion...

This channel was originally setup thinking of the North American market and the revenue that it could provide - from the original intentions that were published (I think about 2 or so years ago). It was even suppose to be launched in NA way before being launched in Portugal or elsewhere in Europe. The Seabra family (read SPTTV) were originally heavily interested in this but I'm not sure where they stand now. Considering the hassle that is going on with the Superliga broadcasting, their intentions might not be as dedicated as they were before. My opinion and your's may vary.

Entre os canais portugueses presentes em ou-tros mercados, o administrador referiu o e-xemplo da SIC em Angola, que desde 2005, ano de lançamento do canal, conseguiu duplicar as audiências. "As perspectivas de adesão são muito grandes, tanto nos EUA como em Angola", sustentou o res-ponsável. O administrador executivo reafirmou a intenção de lançar o canal ainda este ano.
