Mata is by far my favorite player. Local raised, played in town for college, slipped up and worked his way back up, loves the supporters section and brings so much energy to the club.
The ship may have sailed on postseason with yesterday's loss. Was going to be tough regardless but now Roughnecks will need to win the last two and get a lot of help along the way. Sacramento only getting one point against SLC yesterday was nice but going to more than that!
I think you are right - the playoffs are out. With the playoff distraction aside, now they can focus on destroying OKC at the last home game.
So Seattle 2 has to lose both of their final games and Arizona has to lose or draw at least one of their last three games. The Seattle part seems pretty unlikely, but there's still hope.
Boy, I've seen several commercials during the ManU v Liverpool game today on NBC... I really need to catch that season finale coming up on Sept. 6th. Lol. In other news, OC beat S2 last night, so playoff hopes still hanging by a thread on the off chance that Austin can pull off an upset win at S2...
I am shocked that Tulsa does not have its own subforum.. really enjoyed the podcast down by the Tulsa Soccer show.
Looking forward to the season. Roustabouts have groups going to Oklahoma City, Kansas City, St. Louis and San Antonio. Should be a blast.
I think every fan agrees the two clubs need to have a partnership at this point. I'm still surprised there is not a friendly and we don't meet in the US Open Cup because you guys are ineligible I read. Owners need to go out to dinner and figure it out.
Roughnecks Preseason Home Games. Thursday, March 10 - University of Tulsa @ TU (7:00 pm) Saturday, March 12 - Oklahoma Wesleyan University @ Owasso (3:00 pm) Saturday, March 19 - FC Wichita @ ONEOK Field (7:00 pm)
I think the two clubs have a better shot at a positive relationship some day than do the Energy and Rayo OKC, which says more about the cat fight going on at the other end of the turnpike than it does about what's happening here. As for the US Open Cup, the NPSL only gets a limited number of slots, and this past season, the Athletics got off to a slow start, ultimately finishing 3rd in our 8 team division. FC Wichita automatically got a bid, with 2nd place Corinthians (San Antonio) getting added late. I think the NPSL South Central Division is now up to 11 teams with Houston Dutch Lions recent defection from the PDL. Unless FC Wichita has most of their players from late last season suiting up and a great deal of practice, I predict the Roughnecks will dominate an 8-1 match in the preseason, which won't be indicative of how strong either team will be come June and July... In other news, nominations have been made for Best Sports Team playing in Tulsa... I'll be voting early and often. http://www.thetulsavoice.com/bot/ 64. Best Sports Team Athletics Drillers Oilers Roughnecks FC TU Golden Hurricane Football ***And finally, since bigsoccer has evidently deemed Tulsa unworthy of having its own subforum, let me know and I'll activate a discussion forum at TulsaRoughnecks.com http://forum.tulsaroughnecks.com/user/Discussion.aspx?id=385629
Probably not... but alas... for the first time ever, I will be buying some Cosmos Coverband swag for my birthday roadtrip to Yukon this summer... rayo http://www.thegridokc.org/chants/ Tune: "You Are My Sunshine" You come from Yukon. You play in Yukon. Why does your logo say OKC? You'll never know just how much we hate you Please **** off and go your own way

One substitution appearance in the 75th minute then released by the team. My mistake about 2009, I was wrong. I was going by the jersey, it is weird, the jersey in this photo of Morgan is a 2011 home kit. It's a nice jersey and all but he didn't play for the team in 2011, he played for them in 2013... for 15 minutes.
