I was only able to make it to ONEOK for the last 10 minutes of the game (watched from outside the ballpark rather than pay full price)... another impressive showing from The Grid. And I liked the Tulsa group (looked mostly latino) who've been making noise in the Budweiser Terrace the past couple of games.

The Grid tailgates at a middle school.........nothing cooler than a group of adults drinking beer at a middle school.

Swung for the fences on that one huh? To bad it went foul. Could have scored a homerun!

I guess you couldn't host a US Cup match because it was a school night. Probably had that important 8th grade graduation going on that you couldn't use up the parking lot. Also if you say I swung for the fence its better to say I struck out btw.

How is that next round of the USOC treating you guys?

And sorry, guess I'm not as up to date on the baseball lingo as you guys up there. Comes with the territory I guess.

I would like for some help from you guys in relation to a project that I am doing. I am using the FIFA 10 PC game to create the teams of MLS, NASL, USL and some NPSL teams. Since you guys know the players can you rate the players for this team? Also if you know who the captain of the team is that would be helpful as well. Please keep in mind that ratings for MLS players are between 60s and 70s and NASL players from MLS are between 50s and 60s. So USL players should be between 40s and 50s. Here is the team I need help from you guys to rate:
    Tulsa Roughnecks
    As of 3/24/2015
    No. Position Player Nation
    3 Defender Iarfhlaith Davoren Ireland
5 Defender Kyle Venter United States
6 Defender Ryan Price United States
17 Defender Ben Brewster United States
    21 Defender Mason Grimes Guam
9 Forward Sammy Ochoa United States
    10 Forward Lucas Cordeiro Brazil
    11 Forward Kidd Nwabueze Nigeria
26 Forward Andy Lorei United States
1 Goalkeeper Zac Lubin United States
25 Goalkeeper Jake Feener United States
    4 Midfielder Laurie Bell England
7 Midfielder Gibson Bardsley United States
    8 Midfielder Chad Bond Wales
13 Midfielder Steven Miller United States
    14 Midfielder Adam Black England
    18 Midfielder Julian Portugal Mexico
19 Midfielder Oscar Jimenez United States
23 Midfielder Eli Galbraith-Knapp United States
24 Midfielder Brady Ballew United States
    Thanks!!!

I Didn't see that 5-1 beating the roughnecks delivered to S2 coming. Crazy that 9 of tulsa's 14 goals are against S2.

    And that's also 9 of the 21 goals S2 has surrendered. 42.8%.

Sometimes, you simply have somebody's number.

Although it is kinda sad that the leading team in the USL West has given up more goals than all but two teams in the East have scored. (Richmond 21, Pittsburgh 26)

Saturday night was awesome. Hopefully that late goal by Sammy becomes a trend.

Based on C. Mata's performance so far, it looks he'll be getting a lot of playing time. He has certainly changed the dynamics up front for the Roughnecks.

Also, speaking of Omar Matta and the A's, what happened with him, where did he end up?

I noticed last night while following the Athletics game on Twitter that Chavez was in the starting line up. Anybody know if this is an arrangement to get him playing time or did the Roughnecks drop him?

No one has said. I assume Mata took his roster spot but I am not certain.

Lots of games coming up in Tulsa this week. The A's on Wednesday and Friday, and TRFC on Thursday and Saturday.

I am predicting TRFC will get a much needed home win against OC Blues this week. I'm not optimistic about the game against the Switchbacks though. Colorado has been killing it.

Unfortunately I'll be out of town all week with work and will only be able to make the Colorado game. :(
The Athletics game on Friday against Wichita is the one I hate to miss the most though.

Asked somebody today about Chavez and they said he asked to be dropped by the Roughnecks.

And yes, tons of soccer! Hope you all come watch the Gold Cup at Empire.

@USRufnex drives to OKC and sits with with The Grid. Just a little FYI, that's weird. You are from Tulsa and you should support Tulsa.

You can post that you are old school this and that but we had multiple people on our bus that were old school Roughnecks too. I kind of saw your argument to an extent when the new franchise arrived but sitting in an OKC section means your a traitor. Plain and simple.

Wrong. You're completely mistaken. I didn't sit with The Grid. At all. Period. End of story.
In fact, I was seated completely on the opposite end of the east stands, closer to the Roustabouts than the Grid.
What I did do, however, was go to Skinny Slims earlier in the day to watch the Gold Cup game and once in the first half at Taft I talked to one of their members after taking a lovely pic of them in their new digs next to the bathrooms, lol.

    Really, sir.
You need to do some research before hurling accusations in my general vicinity. :p
