I know that the ventura county fusion are holding tryouts soon... and i was gonna go... but i was wondering... how competitive are these tryouts? like do a lot of people go to them? and how many people do they usually pick? also, how many people is one team allowed to have on their roster in the PDL?

In the PDL, a maximum of eight (8) players may be over the age of 23. The PDL and W-League are permitted a maximum of eight (8) foreign players on both rosters.
FA Euro announces its first PDL Men’s First Team public trials ahead of its upcoming 2016 season. The tryouts will take place Saturday, December 19th, at New Utrecht High School from 11 AM to 1 PM. Players who register are allowed up to another trial which will be held later throughout the year. Joe Balsamo will once again return, reprising his role as the team’s head coach. While the staff has yet to be determined, coach Balsamo is looking forward to this upcoming season. “We had a very competitive team last year and we are starting to gain the experience and knowledge needed to make 2016 a success. The club is already excited and we are ready to work harder than before. The motivation and energy this year is terrific and we have to keep this momentum.” – Coach Balsamo In order for players to trial, they must complete the following: They must register online via the club registration and pay a one time tryout fee of $ 35.00.
