With the NASL branching off what does it mean for the hopeful Detroit side? I'm curious to think whether this exodus has put the brakes on an expansion team especially since we haven't really heard anything..... just a bit of curious banter is all

In these times of economic hardship and also the struggle in between USL and NASL, I believe that future investors should wait for another year before getting involved with a soccer franchise

I had a smiliar question but i think it got lost in another thread.

Now that the Battery have moved down, I would think it would be great if Detroit came in at USLD2, especially if Cleveland somehow managed to get a USLD2 team next season as well.

Of course with the upheaval Im sure USL has approached about making Detroit a USLD1 team in 2010.

You are probably right, USL1 needs all the teams they can get

They are down to 3 1/2 teams.

I don't think that a Detroit side will feature in a USL in 2010. Dan Duggan wants to bring a team in the right way, and rushing a team from PDL to USL-1 is not the way to go. There's no place for them to play, either.

My bet is that nothing will come about until the USSF pyramid is worked out. Then, we will see what Duggan wants to do.

I agree. Detroit will not feature in 2010. Will be interesting to see what Dan does.
