Thanks, Nanbawan! Ok, so finally tomorrow is the make up match against Auxerre that I have been waiting for for the past few weeks. Whereas when the match was originally scheduled both clubs were in fine form, the make up match sees both clubs struggling. TFC have lost 3 consecutive matches, while Auxerre is coming from a 0-3 home defeat to Lyon, along with their recent UEFA Cup elimination. 1 Lyon 69 34 19 12 3 48 20 +28 2 Lille 58 33 15 13 5 45 23 +22 3 Monaco 54 33 13 15 5 43 31 +12 4 Marseille 53 34 15 8 11 42 35 +7 5 Rennes 51 34 14 9 11 43 36 +7 6 Auxerre 47 33 13 8 12 44 41 +3 7 Paris-SG 47 34 11 14 9 35 35 0 8 Saint-Etienne 46 34 10 16 8 42 31 +11 9 Sochaux 46 34 12 10 12 37 34 +3 10 Toulouse 46 33 12 10 11 32 33 -1 11 Lens 45 34 11 12 11 37 33 +4 12 Bordeaux 41 34 8 17 9 32 32 0 13 Metz 40 34 9 13 12 28 38 -10 14 Strasbourg 39 34 9 12 13 35 37 -2 15 Nantes 39 34 9 12 13 31 34 -3 16 AC Ajaccio 39 34 8 15 11 30 36 -6 17 Nice 38 34 8 14 12 36 45 -9 18 Bastia 35 34 9 8 17 25 40 -15 19 Caen 33 34 7 12 15 26 53 -27 20 Istres 26 34 4 14 16 21 45 -24 As you can see, a win would propel us up to 6th place, ahead of Auxerre and several others. A loss, well, pretty much destroys any hope of reaching Europe unless other clubs ahead of us fall apart. History isn't exactly on our side. Here are the most recent 10 matches played at Auxerre: 1988-1989 0-0 1989-1990 2-2 1990-1991 2-1 1991-1992 3-0 1992-1993 0-0 1993-1994 5-1 1997-1998 3-1 1998-1999 1-2 2000-2001 2-0 2003-2004 3-2 Only 1 win in the past 16 years. But these are games that define a season. Let's hope our boys are up to it.
Airbus UK have a football team in Wales, where the factory is. Cwmbran and Caersws s***ts all over them though.
Thanks Frogy, I thought something was wrong with the picture but I couldn't find what, I must be blind "Animo" TFC for the Auxerre game ! a win would keep our european dream possible...
I think it would be better if we not had to play Europe next season, we don't have enough players. With the same number of injured as right now ... And don't forget from where we come, they did a damn good job in the last few years.
Nop, Good news, Daniel MOREIRA is back with the team. Stay with us untill the 79th minute, or you will miss a Daniel-goal.
It's a very long season ending... But we made a lot of progresses, I think the team is stabilized at a Ligue 1 level (no more the "yo-yo", please) and I'm sure next season will confirm that. We still have 3 matches to play, a place in the top 10 would be nice. Have you heard some tranfers rumors about Toulouse ? Robinho, forget the Real, TFC is your future !
Robinho at TFC, now that's what I'm talking about!! But on a serious note, somebody please remind our players that the season lasts 38 games, not 28 games... Anyway, it's true that this has still been a very positive season for us. Perhaps getting into Europe now would have hurt us next year, kinda like Perugia getting relegated to Serie B while being a UEFA Cup quarterfinalist... Frogy, Laeti and I finally took the pics with the TFC shirt in front of some Washington monuments. Do you want me to send them to you or post them somewhere?
What a disappointing attitude. And to think he was my favorite player along with Moreira... http://www.channel4.com/sport/french_football/may11f.html
Dalmat = mercenaire For the photos, if you like, you can post them here on the forum, if you don't want to, send them by mail ( and I'll post them on the forum ).
Robinho?!? Is Graille working in the Toulouse media office now? As for Dalmat, he is a mercenary. Get rid. Use the cash on a player who wants to play for the club. I shed no tears when he left Paris. And yes, Randy we need to see you in your Toulouse frocks standing in front of the Whitehouse.
Any time you see a Frenchman say he's rather play for an Italian team than a team from his own country then you know he's a mercenary. If I was a French soccer player Id rather play for Toulouse than Inter Milan but Inter are gonna be in the Champions League and Toulouse are not so...
Well, there is no guarantee he is going to Inter. Maybe he thinks he's going there, but Inter probably have other plans. Ok pictures are coming up!
OK here is the first one. Laeti (Medissia) and I are standing in front of the Capitol building in Washington, DC. We didn't make it to the White House that day, but if you know the American government, you know that the legislative branch (Congress) is essentially more powerful than the President anyway. We actually made it in as far as sitting in on the House of Representatives which was in session at the time....so TFC was present and accounted for during US government deliberations.
This is taken from the rooftop of my appartment building. That is the Pentagon in the background (yes, it's that close, I can walk there). About as close as you can get to the Pentagon to take pictures of it without police questioning you.
What ! A new team for the MLS : TFC USA... Yeah, I know, I have strange ideas sometimes I dream of a day where le Stadium will be as famous as the Pentagon. Ok, there are definitely too many smilies on this post !
We started a Toulouse Invasion of DC Can seem stupid but i was rather proud to be with my Allez Toulouse scarf in the Congress!
