honestly, from my trip, i had a little moment like Shoeless, where I was taking a breather outside the Basilica, when out of nowhere, the pope's caravan comes through and I was able to wave to him, front of the line, on the street. It was the German Pope in 06. So everyone around me gets emotional and begins to cry....but thats not 1/2 the emotion I saw from Roma fans when Totti came out on crutches before the Roma-Inter match in 06, when he had recently been injured. I never saw such outpouring from a crowd towards an individual before, ever, and I've never seen that again, anywhere, in any type of capacity.
you should have seen the way people responded to my daughter after pope francis kissed her. the SAME PEOPLE who were thumbing their noses at my kids for making too much noise, all of a sudden started crying in my daughter's presence, wanting to kiss her, take photos with her, become my friend on facebook, etc... it was absolute insanity.
It seems that everything in this thread has been discussed with the exception of the one main and most important point and title. Therefore, when exactly will Totti start playing and scoring Goals once again I n Serie A? Will it actually happen or is it time to finally say addio?
I didn't watch the game as they showed another match on Rai so I'm not sure how he did. Either way, today's appearance against Udinese marks Francesco Totti's first appearance in 2017 and this means the captain has now played for Roma in 25 successive calendar years! I hadn't heard or read anything from the club but Roberto Rambaudi, Vincenzo D'Amico and Italo Cucci all commented on how they may very well renew his contract for another year.

His wife seemed to imply not much of a chance with Roma. They also talked about China and Australia but she said she won't leave Rome so who really knows......
