    man, I hope Winks can come back without losing much. I've all but given up on him; but then, I literally gave up on Lamela. I never thought we'd see him in a Spurs shirt again. But he's been decent this season.

    Fair enough. It's an arms race isn't it? City and United took a step forward, Liverpool too maybe, while Chelsea and l'Arse took a step back.

    I think the hardest players to lose would be Kane and Eriksen. But we've been through losing Bale and Modric and others and eventually been stronger.

    It took about three years to recover from losing both. With the new stadium, with the heights that the club has reached under Poch, I don't think people will stomach a "rebuild" again for some time.

    That's why this coming window might be the most important in club history. It's not good enough to buy players who might be world class in three years. We have to buy players who can help the club right now, regardless of age, position, and resell value.
