Next summer will very tricky for Spurs, especially depending how the World Cup goes for our guys, it'll be tough to keep them all here.
too often, teams way overvalue world cup performances I believe the book soccernomics even addressed this
The only concern is if one of them (Kane or Dele) has a serious breakout performance. It's not like these guys are under the radar. A breakout performance will really up the likes of ManU or Real or Barca going after one of them. And if that is the case, I would not be surprised in another 200mil transfer fee.
Harry Kane to Madrid? Apparently they're willing to throw 200million Euro's on the table (making him the second most expensive player in the world, behind Neymar)
read this: Jim White has told TalkSPORT on the 4th October, that he is hearing from Tottenham Hotspur that no bids will ever be entertained for Harry Kane. According to reports from Spain in Don Balon, Real Madrid are lining up a £177 million offer for Kane. However, White says that Tottenham are not prepared to even accept mega-money for their star striker. “It’s my understanding that it will not be entertained at any time. He is never going to be leaving,” White said. Kane has established himself as the leading star in a Tottenham team which has become a Premier League title contender in recent years. It is understandable that some of the world’s biggest clubs now want to take Kane off Tottenham. However, Spurs are believed to be determined to keep hold of Kane, who has always stated that he is happy with the North London club, as they feel he is totally irreplaceable.
Saw that headline a day or two ago and blew it off. Also, the way Kane speaks is at a different level of ambition. He is a Londoner. Not Bale from Wales. Not Modric from Serbia. Not CR from Portugal via Manchester. He is England, and he seems to think that bringing English success will be staying in England, and with Tottenham. Money is a great, and huge sums are very tempting, and Kane is ambitious, but he also seems to see things in the bigger picture and in a longer term. And for the reasonable future (2 or 3 years down the line), that is with Tottenham. If he is 27 and Spurs have not even reached a final, let alone won anything, I can see him leaving. But if Kane wins the Ballon D'or while with Spurs, that might change is desire to move.
