Failing to pay the referee seems like a great way to get some bogus PKs called against you the next time you see that ref.

Since my last post, Omonia has been undefeated in 6 games. They are up to 5th in the Cyprus 1st Division and in the quarterfinals of the Cup.

On 1/29, Omonia drew 1-1 at Aris in the Cup, Taylor played the last 18 minutes.
On 2/2, Omonia drew 0-0 at AEK Larnaca in the league. Taylor was an unused sub.
On 2/5, Omonia drew 0-0 against Doxa at home in the league. Taylor was an unused sub.
On 2.9, Omonia won 1-0 at Nea Salamis in the league. Taylor was an unused sub.
On 2/12, Omonia won 2-1 against Apollon in the first leg of the Cup quartefinals. Taylor was an unused sub.
On 2/15, Omonia won 2-1 against AE Kouklion in the league. Taylor went the full 90.

So far he's played 12 games in the league (3 starts) for 390 minutes and 3 goals.

Don't know how much he is making or how long his contract is for, but he sounds like a prime candidate to sign with Orlando City before they join MLS next season. After all, he did grow up in not-too-far-away Jacksonville.

Even better: If he signed with Orlando after Omonia's season ends and got some steady playing time in USL Pro before the step up.

Apparently, the Cypriot First Division has a "Second Phase" in which the top 6 teams play a Championship mini-league of home and away games, and the 7-12th teams play a Relegation mini-league. Omonia are in the "Championship" group but they are 5th and 17 points out of 1st. They can still play for a Europa League qualifying spot, but that's basically it.

Taylor did not play in their 0-0 draw at Apollon to kick off the mini-league.

Taylor also did not play in the 3-1 home win over Anorthosis, but he did get 10 minutes in their last game, a 0-0 draw at APOEL.

Omonia are still in 5th place, 3 points out of 4th and the Europa League qualifying slot.

Taylor again played about 15 minutes, this time in a 2-0 loss at AEL. Omonia are still in 5th place, 3 points out of 4th and the Europa League qualifying slot.

Penultimate update from this season. The 5 games after my last update:

3-3 draw with Ermis. Taylor on the bench.
2-1 win against Apollon. Taylor on bench.
2-1 win at Anorthosis. Taylor played ~10 minutes.
1-2 loss at APOEL. Taylor on bench.
2-3 loss against AEL. Taylor played ~2 minutes.

Omonia are still in 5th place, but they are tied with Ermis for 4th on points. And the last game is at Ermis next Saturday. If Omonia win, they get the Europa League spot.
