Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am I'm envious of you east coasters, only thing I'll be getting drunk on at 5am is coffee.
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am For those who don't know, this will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am What does Tim Howard have to do to get some love here?
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am Keepers always get the shaft on this forum.
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am He has to make a save or yell at his defenders.
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am Fans are super passionate over there. They friggin' burn the cars of opposing players. He better not walk alone.
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am Is anybody else, just ridiculously excited about the game tomorrow? I'm practically giddy. I might not bother with the whole sleeping thing. and it's on espn2! I'm so tired of bouncing from unreliable, stream to stream. 2-0 Donovan with a brace, Howard with the clean sheet. Let's go Everton!
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am This was my favorite big 4 team as they are not as unfathomably boring as chelsea, dont play like the worlds greatest U19 team like Arsenal, or as petulantly as ManU, but Benitez really lost the plot by keeping Lucas on the team and bringing in that Irish nutjob for 203940293 pounds. Not to mention the Greek revelation. I think that guy inhales a tank of helium before each match to get pumped. In some matches during last years CL they played some of the best football of all time (nobody used to beat RM at home as thoroughly as they did), but this year injuries and lack of quality backups and bumbling team management has killed Rafa's side. The combination of DK, Jayrard, Torres, Riera, Alonso and Masch was awesome. GO everton.
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am That's probably the best part of all! Or at least in the top three. How nice to have something work out for a change: ESPN finally gets a marquee matchup for its early morning slot, and it's the one we American fans really want. Now please, please, please let Donovan actually start...
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am That's what I named the most recent Jozy PBP thread and it got changed. Not a big deal, just joking around.
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am I know right, it's the Merseyside Derby! If another week had gone by where I would turn on ESPN 2 and see another Burnley or Wolves match, I would have lost my mind.
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am I wonder if Anshultz ever calls up Hicks and says "Tom, told you so".
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am It makes you wonder if these writers even watch the matches. Yakubu for Donovan on the right side of midfield? Yakubu would come on for Saha or Cahill.
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am 7:45 AM on a saturday WHAT THE FACK? dont they know some of us have lives?
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am I'm oscillating between setting an alarm and trusting the DVR. My paranoia is convincing me that I'm too attached.
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am Come on man, you just have to watch this thing live.
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am chances are he'll do both in this game...
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am It's at 6.45 a.m. in Texas.....just get your arse out of bed and watch it....
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am And thank goodness I drive a sports car home from work, so I can do exactly that! Sky Sports, meanwhile, is projecting that Donovan does not lose his place in Everton's first eleven, amid manager David Moyes gaining several players back from injury and international absences.
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am No snow yet in Jersey but except to see plenty of it when I get up at 7am. I'll drink more for this game then the super bowl on Sunday I care almost nothing about. I can't wait either, going to bed now so the game can come quicker.
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am I know, they should have kicked off 2 hours earlier.
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am A few thoughts before I attempt to go to sleep (I just got in and am sobering up right now so forigve me!) 1> Donovan will in all likelihood start - Moyes is pretty loyal to a winning side, unless one of the big players is returning. 2> No way am I excited. Im nervous as hell. I hate these games. I cant watch. I watch through my hands as soon as they come into our half as Im convinced they will score with every attack. My stomach been turning for days everytime I think about it. 3> I hope you guys aint expecting a "spectacle" as such. These games are usually scrappy and played at 100mph, no time for pretty stuff. Its the passion and desire that makes it enthralling. I got other stuff but then I'd just be putting stuff for the sake of it. COYB! (Thats: Come On You Blues - for those that didn't know! )
Re: Donovan doesn't walk alone: Merseyside Derby 2/6, 7:45am COYB! Can someone explain to me what a "Merseyside" is? Thanks in advance for enlightening the ignorant of the world (me).
