The American fans had the balls to come back after they lost to Costa Rica, but you didn't. That is the difference between a true American and a wannabe American.

I'm not going to say i'm not pist cause we didn't win the hex, but your assumption that Mexico will not get out of the groups stage its stupid.

Both USA and Mexico will certainly advance.

and Wells, we'll they are just a joke.

Mexico really needs some stability at central mid if they want to get past the group stages. Blanco and LaVolpe need to make up and do it quick. Other than taht, we can now start hoping for the best from the whole concacaf region assuming none of us will meet for a while.

tell that to Russia or Israel.
Both are out of the WC because of Head-to-Head

    Code:
     Portugal 12	9	3 0	35	5 30
     Slovakia 12	6	5 1	24	8 23
     Russia 12	6	5 1	23	12 23
     Estonia 12	5	2 5	16	17 17
     Latvia 12	4	3 5	18	21 15
     Liechtenstein 12	2	2 8	13	23 8
     Luxembourg 12	0	0 12	5	48 0

     France 10	5	5 0	14	2 20
     Switzerland 10	4	6 0	18	7 18
     Israel 10	4	6 0	15	10 18
     IreRepublic 10	4	5 1	12	5 17
     Cyprus 10	1	1 8	8	20 4
     Faroe Islands 10	0	1 9	4	27 1

I'm not really going to get into this Mex-US argument, it gets tiresome, sometimes, but I just find it comical for the Welsh boy to have revived this thread only to claim superiority over winning the hex, good you won it, but don't forget with 22 point each. I mean, is that really something to brag about, when you tie in points with Mexico?

    But, I don't really care.

look at our recent history and Mexico has nothing to brag about, if Mexico would have won the HEX I think this thread would tied up alot of Bandwidth on the BS server. Oh, and I was coming back here anyway.

Not trying to minimize the US winning the HEX, but what does that tell us? Nothing. Costa Rica won it past qualifiers. But you're probably right, we would have had people bragging about it, anyways, enjoy this great achievement.

it means the USA is having a good year. the quality of CONCACAF is down as a whole, but the USA has constantly struggled in qualifiers. the A squad is on top of its game, and hopefully that can continue.

Aside from CR's loss today, im ready to throw them in and make this a Big 3? You may ask why, but i feel like Costa Rica will be in every world cup for a while IMO. At at home, they have the advantage on the USA and will give Mexico fits as well

seeing as they got no.1 in last hex and no.3 in this hex, I would also put them in the "big 3" as you say.

well Costa Rica was definately the best team in the region that year. How many teams can go into azteca and get a win. Hell, they would have reached the second round of the WC if they would have learned the "art of the bunker" against Brazil ;)

Well, too bad being tied in points with Mexico and winning the HEX because of the result head-to-head, is not going to get you a seed in Germany.

Oh, but Arena didn't care about the seeding, just like he didn't care about losing to Costa Rica 3-0. Jeezz, you're dragging me into this conversation and I don't want to take part in it! :D

you are right, Arena does not care about seeding or winning at costa rica, or tieing Guatemala or winning in panama. if he would have cared he would have put our A players out there.

It was only yesterday (tuesday) that i read a message from some U.S. fans saying that it didn't really matter who won the hex.

    so this proves one thing.

    1. when the U.S. is in first place, even if its by goal difference, its important who is in the top of the standings, but if the U.S. is not at the top then its meaningless who is in the top of the standings  , you guys have to make up your minds, seriously.

either way good luck in the world cup, it doens't look like you guys are going to be seeded, sh1t i dont even know if mexico is going to be seeded after the lost to T&T.

    1. I do not represent what all US fans have to say

    2. Winning the Hex isn't important, but it's nice to know the US can do it without even playing to.

    3. If you want me to respond to something I said, then be more specific.

    4. one game doesn't mean anything, especially when your starters aren't out there, WCQ is going to be treated much differently than a WC game (especially after you've qualified)

What it means is that we are the current big guys in CONCACAF:

Won the Hex, won GOLD CUP 2005, beat the other close teams when it mattered. US continues to make history.. let's enjoy this my compadres.
