Are you serious? Because that's not the takeaway. Precourt's team doubled in value while he's done almost nothing, and he thinks there's even more easy money to be had. That's what has the Crew in the current mess.
To be fair, Phil Schoen said he did an interview with a USMNT player one time and five minutes after it was over he got a call from Soccer House saying the player complained he was "too hard" on him and they might restrict future interviews, etc. The media is complicit, yes, but they are so niche they are dependent on the access to the USMNT. And being a broadcast partner sometimes dictates the level of coverage you can attain. Thx, Jay!
