    Yeah, there must be a pretty large undercurrent of resentment among a lot of MLS players regarding contracts. Few will say anything publicly, and they all understand that "this is a business" where cap-ology is a science. But I would be pissed too if I had to take a 60% pay cut and then they go out and sign some guy for huge money to a guaranteed contract, and the guy ends up playing no better than an average MLS journeyman.
