No doubt that he was being groomed. I think ideally the club would have wanted him to gain first team experience somewhere else before returning, but the Rafa issues forced their hand. Anyway, the gamble paid off and whatever doubt there was not long ago about him continuing has now vanished.

When it comes to his time here, there is a lot to critique him on. You'll find little sympathy for him here on this board.
We aren't mocking him. We're celebrating his achievements. It is well known how much pride Mourinho had in those semi-final trophies.
I thank him for the trophies he brought to us. Reaching semi for 3 years was better than what we did before.
3 straight CL SF trophies. I don't know where you learned your math, but 3>2 where I come from. How did they even make you a mod?
The club had a 7-8 year period winning only the Round of 16 trophy every year. Compared to that, Mourinho's 3 semi-finals are a major improvement. Not sure why it's a good joke, it only humiliates the club further, but I guess some people are just that much butthurt about him, to the point where they are willing to drag the club's name down further just to insult him.
Mourinho himself dragged the club down. He was about to napalm all the so called good he brought. I give him no credit considering how he left. He did one thing, united the squad by the end which helped the upcoming manager. That happened despite him though. He did divide it a lot more before that happened. ******** Mourinho.
Yes, the club is so humiliated by the fact that we won three CLs after he left. I would have much rather went after the record of 6 consecutive CL SF trophies.
He lead us to a 100 points La Liga trophy after a 3 years drought, broke the dream of Barca's trebleX3. Brought Di Maria, Ozil, Modric. Varane, Benzema and Marcelo improved greatly under him, even at the cost of break his relationship with Pepe. Yes he made some mistake in the last year, but still brought us some good wins against Barca. Sorry I don't think it's a good idea to insult him as a Real fan, it's no different than insult our Copa Del Rey champion, 2011-12 La Liga champion and our improvement in the CL, along with the dark history before that. Yes we went even better after he left, but his achievement is not be forgotten or disregarded. I still thank him for his effort and the trophies he brought us. Zidane is NO.1 in my heart, both as player and manager, but I thank and respect Jose like I thank and respect every manager who has brought trophy to Real.
I value the toilet paper I wipe my ass with more than Mourinho's time with Real Madrid. You can take your respect of Mourinho to the OTT. Zizou love here only.
Your concern for Jose's feelings are noted but the club seems to be doing just fine regardless. Jose did some good things but the attitude he shows during his final season before departing will never sit well with me.
It was like yesterday when we were discussing if Ancelotti's departure is a good move or not. What a roller coaster of emotions from Benitez and the 0-4 elclasico humiliation to achieving the old dream of winning the champions league back to back. We are truly blessed to have a winning beast on the bench. I hope his real madrid tenure long lasts.
