Best midfield in the world is the past as far as I am concerned, they had their time for sure, very talented players but every team needs to be refreshed after awhile , i’m just not convinced at the moment we have the players with the quality to replace “everyone” in that midfield right now
It's what I would do as well. Then again we have others who feel Kroos is untouchable. For me he isn't and if we are being proactive we sell him high right now. We could even slide Modric to his role (he can do it better) and then bring in Eriksen to play Modric's more offensive position.
That's the point we don't really have a naturally gifted midfielder who can drift in the box, score goals and take on players. We have Modric who creates outlets by his s movement and Kroos who can find a pass, both are good under pressure but the end result is too similar even if they approach the game from very different places.
This. Need more attack from the midfield. Kroos and/or Modric need to be more threatening around the box, or we need an option that can do that when they won't or when we are chasing matches. That's where we miss an Ozil/James/Isco as a 3rd mid option.
Modric tracks back better and because he is slowing down would probably get more tread in Kroos role distributing and controling. Eriksen is more of a scoring threat from midfield as well. For me he is the first player we buy.
"My hunch is that Mourinho will manage Madrid next season"Ramon Calderon looks into his crystal ball. https://t.co/WSo9jbmrI8 pic.twitter.com/IPMFX4YLHs— AS USA (@English_AS) March 1, 2019
If we hire JM, Perez has lost the plot. I personally don't see it, we're not bringing gestifute back anytime soon. Atleast that's my belief.
To be honest there is every possibility Mourinho coaches us if Solari is moved on and Tottenham want a ridiculous amount for Poch.
Calderon said the same after Benitez was sacked as Mou was free then too. Club went with ZZ instead. Dude uses Mou as another ploy to criticize Flo, but in truth, Mou is far from a failure as a RM coach like he portrays. Also he's someone who adapted to RM's style incorporating a player like Ozil as a key player. Now we have Lucas as defensive winger. [emoji23] I think he has regressed massively from 2011-12 and hence doesn't want him.
Calderón is pretty much trying to put up the image of Mourinho whenever the team does bad to damage Florentino with it, but he forgets that his coach forfeited a match against Barcelona and then claimed that it was just a prank.

Let @4x4s tell the story and Isco so out of shape he is the ball. Bale can't dream of doing the stuff Isco does for shots and giggles.
Ronaldinho could dribble past Tess Holiday in a phone booth even when he had a beer gut and both of his knees were gone. Talent/skill and fitness are completely different things. Isco is a lot more skilled than Vinicius but only an absolute idiot would figure he deserves to start ahead of him right now. By the way you're obsessed with Bale. No joke.
not so sure, only because I don't think Modric can play a full season next year. We need a replacement in his caliber.
6 players injured and won't play tomorrow against Valladolid. Marcos Llorente, Dani Carvajal, Lucas Vazquez and Vinicius are all out 100%. Bale has an ankle injury and Mariano has stomach issues. Both of them will probably miss the game as well. Our injury woes never stop.
Marca ran a poll about which players fans thought were at a sufficient level to play at Real Madrid right now , the results are pretty interesting, most notable one is 97% think Bale isn’t worthy, 94% for Kroos, 95% Marcelo, 71% Courtois, 84% Casimero, 84% Isco. This is a small sample of course but close to 2000 people voted and it somewhat echoes what we’ve been saying on the forums, save for the Casimero one.
