Can't lie, I'm worried about a sluggish start to the season with the WC and such. This buildup is almost identical to last year when we kinda took a dump to start La Liga.
3xCL winner consecutively is going to hold me over for a while, but the team has to play. If we are out of 2/3 of competitions by March/April that's no bueno. Worst of all I have sneaking suspicion Bale stays and breaking up the BBC will cost the new coach his job (but not Flo).
Stumbled across this video last night. I think it perfectly reflects the positive impact that football has all over the planet, as embodied by the World Cup. Where's the craziest place that you guys have met a fellow Real fan? Anyone got a photo of their 'los blancos' shirt in a cool location abroad? The video is definitely worth checking out.
How do you guys think Perez will react if we potentially lose Cristiano (could be finalized within next 48 hours it seems) as well as losing Zidane. Our squad got older by a year in terms of the "core" i.e. Ramos, Marcelo, Modric and Benzema who are above 30. Salah has renewed, Kane has renewed, PSG buys are impossible with no ban, Griezmann renewed... who is left? Its not the first time we let a Galactico go, I mean we allowed Figo to leave, Raul to leave, Ronaldo (R9) to leave mid-season etc.. but none of them were really as influential as CR7 is and has been for Madrid for the past 8-9 years. We lost those players who they have already "lost" their status in the team, its the first time we really let go of our undisputed #1 player in history, this is NOT Real Madrid
We let Di Stefano go after losing European Cup final in 1964. He played couple of seasons at Espanyol. We won the EC two years later. Bernabeu and Di Stefano were never on good terms since.
August 5th is the DC game? Did they change it recently or something as I purchased tickets via Ticketmaster when it first went on sale and it’s showing August 4th for the date of the game...
So from having 90% of all marketable players in the squad (Zidane, R9, Figo, Beckham etc.) to having hardly any. Perez has lost it? He was "saved" by Zizou who is a coach who got 110% from the squad. But now the core has aged (Modric, Marcelo, Ramos, Benzema) and the GOAT has left. Hope running after Neymar was worth it Perez, b!tch.
Bannable post. Florentino isn't perfect, but he has been the best we could ever ask for. Same for Cristiano. Both imperfect but so perfect for this club. Both even if we have our complaints; should be respected and heralded for all they have done for Madrid. I understand why Cristiano wanted to leave and trust me, money played a factor, butting heads with Flo played a factor.. but I'm sure keeping his legacy in tact played one as well. My only issue is I wanted more money.

Looks like I'll be going to the game against Leganes on September 2nd. First trip to Spain, first trip to Bernabeu. I can't wait.
Still no confirmation who will show La Liga games in the UK, it’s an absolute shambles. People like to give the EFL a hard time, but at least they know how to negotiate properly. La Liga as an entity is a bloody joke, poorly run. And our club will suffer as a consequence of this.
Eleven Sports they also have Italian league now. It will prob be on an app or streamed online on their website or something
And many football rights are being snapped up by online entities now. Facebook brought PL rights in Thailand, Vietnam etc for 200 M.
