Well, well, well. Our season kicked of yesterday in the Ramsden cup, against Brechin, on BBC Alba... I really enjoyed it and I think most Rangers fans did. Tough game considering we've had no friendlies at all! So I thought we did well. It's way to early to judge anything so far but I really want to see us playing nice possession football. I'm not convinced we will to be honest. Maybe we'll all learn some Gaelic along the way as well!
Any final score to that one? Never mind. Finally found it. 2-1 victory away. Very nice start! I hope this is momentum for their 3rd div. campaign, as well as the Cup.
Understandable. Good to maybe say the score, then? Unless the (R) was omitted for a reason (could a mod add that?). Love the cup competitions, but eager for D3 to start. I'd love to see webcasts for D3 (doubt it, though).
Dean Shiels signs four year deal http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...igns-year-Rangers-deal.html?ito=feeds-newsxml
Looks like "Rangers" have a 20% chance of making promotion, http://www.scottishfootballleague.com/club/berwick-rangers/
I watched the highlights. Not great. But then it is quite a few new players to settle. Hopefully it's a wee kick up the bum that it will not be easy and we'll need to work hard to get out of this division.
Nice post from a Brazilian about Rangers. http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=236037&st=0
An Australian striker coming in. Rumours abound that Templeton and McGowan from Hertz are on their way too. http://sport.stv.tv/football/188103...cesco-stella-undergoing-medical-with-rangers/
David Templeton signs http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19431326 Live games are available on RangersTV for overseas subscribers. There are also live streams of dubious quality available online (atdhe, Justin TV etc).
He's gone out on loan and has expressed an interest in coming back so I guess he's looking to see what happens next year with the league reconstruction. He goes with Rangers fans best wishes! We will miss him. Templeton has signed and it looks like Francesco Stella is on his way. We look pretty decent. We've got good solid SPL players with a mix of of youngsters. It should be more than enough to win division 3. I still have question marks over McCoist though.
Made me chuckle. "Rangers chief executive Charles Green says manager Ally McCoist was like a woman wanting new shoes on transfer deadline day."
18-year-old Macleod and 19-year-old Crawford have both put pen to paper on contracts that will keep them with Scotland’s most successful club until the summer of 2017. Both have been with the club for a number of years, developing their talents at Auchenhowie and now have the opportunity to blossom in the first team. McKay, 17, has also pledged his future to the club for another five years after arriving from Kilmarnock in the summer of 2011. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/2160-the-future-boys?
Bit late in posting this but I got to take in the first round League Cup match against East Fife while on vacation (somehow managed to convince that family that an important part of any visit to Glasgow was seeing matches at Hampden, Parkhead and Ibrox Very fun night (Rangers won that one 4 - nil) in a festive/party atmosphere as it was the first home match after a miserable summer. Everyone seemed relieved to be talking about football rather than moneyball.
I'll go back to what I said. I do not think McCoist is the man to lead forward. But he deserves some good grace for what he put himself through.
