Post your PA's here, I didn't feel like digging out the old one.

Here's my 2 from my comeback last night

    11/27/2006 Rangers WIN! Rangers WIN!
With 2 minutes left in the Rangers qualifier it looked like the Rangers would be spending another season in V. Then team leaders Jurjan Arnold and Fred van Deurne took over. An 89th minute penalty was calmly put away by Arnold, his second of the game. And a minute later, van Deurne gave the Rangers the lead, so the magic Rangers fans have come to expect. Antti Vatto got the winner less then a minute later, and the Rangers faithful are now celebrating a return to IV.

    11/27/2006 The Day After
A day after the Rangers amazing last minute heroics in the qualifier, the Rangers were still revealing in their success. "It was a great win, we played well." Rangers MOTM Jurjan Arnold, who tied the game at 2 with his PK, said. "I'm giving the guys a day or 2 to enjoy this huge victory, then it's to work on next season." Coach Mats said. Rangers fans celebrated late into the night after 20,000 people showed up at Rangers park to watch the away game on the screens at the stadium.

    11/30/2006 Smurfs Sabotaging Rangers?
The Smurfs would like to state that they have nothing to do with team I Quit the Band, I Start playing with myself (224180),

It has been rumored that this team was secretly created through a slush fund of Legs of a Cat LLC, which is the non for profit co. that handles Smurfs money, to take cross town rival Raytown Rangers out of the cup.

Papa Smurf said today "We had a great relationship with Rangers and hope this can be rectified quickly. We don’t even play...music...we're not equipted"

    11/20/2006 Amazing run to 2nd
Midway through season 30 the South Siders were in 7th. As the youngest team by 2 seasons with the lowest salary payroll there wasn't much hope for league success.

LSD then went on an unexpected tear, winning all of the final 7 matches and outscoring opponents 33-7. Chicago won by 3 or more in all but 1 of the 7 matches to cap an unbelievable run all the way to 2nd place.

The team also advanced to the 6th round of the cup capping what is so-far the best season for this promising club.

12/11/2006 United Continue Amazing Run on Bogebjerg's Watch
PB United won it's first DIV game in team history Sunday, adding yet another notch onto the belt of coach Bent Bogejberg. Bent has lead PB to an amazing 32-5-2 record in the 37 competitive matches since his hiring. This includes wins in the last 23 out of 24 games, with the only loss coming in the form of a 2-0 defeat to ML Champion Dynamo Moscow. The team's goal of a top 4 finish in this tough DIV series looks on track, but a tricky away fixture with last years #2 SUFC looms on the horizon.

12/15/2006 Vacs Release First Press Announcement

With much fanfare, the front office of the Hoover Vacuum Keeners made it official that they were finally able to release press releases. "You gotta understand", coach Manuel Lucena stated, "Our computer has been on the fritz for the past three seasons. I knew I shouldn't have downloaded that bootleg copy of David Beckham playing Frogger against Paris Hilton." Further press releases were to be forthcoming as long as the power bills got paid on time.

    1/29/2007 Tied the Southsiders!
Mixed feelings tonight after a 1-1 tie against Chicago. Henderson had the lead until 10 minutes before fulltime when Alex Reinhardt scored the equalizer. While fans are thrilled with being the only team this season to take points away from the Southsiders, post-game reporters grilled the coach and players about what went wrong, causing an increasingly irritated Coach Mack to exclaim, "The Southsiders are who we thought they were! And we let ’em off the hook."

No one knows what he meant.

    2/4/2007 Going for three
Columbus North End has a busy week coming up. First is a critical league match with Charlotte. A victory here would go a long way towards autopromotion. In midweek action the team takes on PB United for the BS MM Cup title. NE is also still alive in the Ohio Cup. While the club would love to win the treble, what is really important is avoiding the triple cripple.

    5/26/2007 Fast times in VI.193
At the latest team press conference, certain so-called journalists expressed their doubts of Heterodyne winning the series title in this, their very first season. In response to those doubts the team Head of Public Relations, Miss Amelia, issued the following statement:

    "Fools! We'll show you all!"

When the beat writer from The Times asked her to clarify her statement, Miss Amelia spat in his eye, saying, "That's how I roll."

*wipes off the dust from this thread

8/16/2007 A week of BS in store for the 'Kat

SC Bearkat will be stepping through the BS this week as their next 2 competitive matches are against teams that are members of the BigSoccer-HT community.

First off a visit to Paris Hilton Stadium, where more than BS will have to be tip-toed through, for IV.25 action against AS Alcohol on Sunday. Then the 'Kat welcomes PB United, a Peter Pan team if ever there was one, to the Litter Box for Round 6 US Cup action. Be sure to purchase your waders early.

Will Dallas Arsenal try and put a challenge for the V.61 title this year or will they try to demote and start over? Only time can tell and the off season sucks.

    8/10/2007 at 02.06 Cup Exit
Columbus continued its tradition of early cup exits crashing out in extra time last night. Hopefully the teams league form will pick up now.

8/20/2007 Vikes win big but pay the price...
Janne Julku got quite the eye opener to what happens in DVI when you are one of the top dogs. "They were dirty" said the Big Fin in his post match interview. "It's like they didn't even want to play they just wanted to beat on our players." He's referring to the tactics of the Canadain War Hero's during the Vikes 6-0 win on Sunday. Leon Buys had to be carted off 9 mins into the game and Vilberg Einarsson also took a nasty blow and was limping at the end of the match.

bump, felt like sharing this, some pretty nice accomplishments from my coach. He's scored a goal in every season since season 19.

9/20/2007 Rangers Coach Closes on Mark
Rangers coach, Mats Öhrsjö, is about to reach a big milestone for the club. With his 2 goals tonight in the Rangers friendly, he is now only 2 goals away from having 200 in all competitions for the Rangers. Öhrsjö, the last player remaining from the Rangers first season. In fact he's the only player still around from the time the team was known as Kuhnscoot United. Öhrsjö has scored at least 2 goals in each season, from season 19 through season 33.

    2/11/2008 Champions!
With Gallegos failing to field a line-up tonight, all eyes were on HT-Live in the 'Kat dressing room as the fate of the series rested on the result of the Retrievers-SFA match.

With SFA's 2-1 win, the 'Kat secured the IV.25 medal for Season 34. Coach Earl said, "We were always the least equipped team in this race, but the team spirit of this team was always high. We won the games that mattered down the stretch. Now we are CHAMPS!! Cheers SFA!"

    2/5/2008 Time for Change
"Now it's time for change. Nothing stays the same, now it's time for change."

With second place locked up the club looks to the future. A new Forward and IM have already been brought in. The club will also look to get a bit younger on the back line.

6/9/2008 MOFC Stages Comeback For The Ages, Promotes To D.IV
Manny Ortez FC came back from 2-0 down early on in their qualifier against Backfield Bangers to score 3 unanswered goals and run out 3-2 winners.

Curt Hogh (34, 54) brought MOFC back to level terms, and Gert Gripenhult (69) scored on a breakaway to silence the Upper East Field crowd and send MOFC on to D.IV

"Finally!" shouted MOFC chairman Edju Martin. "We've toiled in a tough D.V for a long time, and we're on to uncharted waters."

    6/22/2008 Derby time
After only playing one derby against a bot in the first 11 seasons, North End will play 4 derby games in season 13. Here's hoping 13 is lucky as NE first match of the season is away to Member's Only. There aren't any reports of a jacket give away at the game.
