As I said, I blame Verratti for the Neymar move. It was all about keeping Marco in Paris: http://www.football-italia.net/107300/psg-pay-verratti-€12m-salary
Chelsea lost their opener today after two reds, lol. Conte was pissed, they lost at home to Burnley hahaha. Morata on the scoresheet, but Chelsea looked woeful
Chelsea was still in party mode, they forgot season starts earlier for EPL lol. I think Chelsea is gonna be challenged this year, they will probably still finish in the top 4, but other teams gonna be good.
To tell you the truth regarding the EPL, I don't see a clear favorite. Chelsea and Man City look like the best to me at the moment, but Man Utd has reinforced well, and Leicester City and Arsenal look good at the start, although Arsenal is Arsenal. Remember though Chelsea was without Hazard and they were 2 men down.
LOL. Ex-Chelsea asst. warns Diego Costa that Conte might "Iaquinta-ize" him if he doesn't get his head on straight. 2 years with no playing! http://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/former-chelsea-assistant-warns-diego-costa-94099
Hard to argue with this: http://www.football-italia.net/108209/‘juventus-thought-they-were-favourites’
1-3 Loss for Roma, they started the 2nd half strong, missed or opportunities to score few goals, Inter under Spal looks pretty good on the offense, their midfield game is decent.
I said Inter would be the real deal this season. Spalletti is a good coach for them they'll probably get top 3
LOL it's the second game of the season. Like Paola Bandini said, they could have easily been down by 4 as well. Let's wait for at least a month before they're rated. Heard that this year they're the real deal for the past half-decade.
My Serie A Predictions: 1. Juventus 2. Napoli 3. AC Milan 4. Inter Milan 5. Roma 6. Lazio 7. Atalanta 8. Torino 9. Sassuolo 10. Fiorentina 11. Genoa 12. Sampdoria Not Sure about the rest.
LOL I knew Fiorentina was gonna have an embarrassing season. Its showing even from Day 2. Benassi really should have stayed at Torino. Torino at least have Ljajic, Belotti, and a few other potentially good players. For Fiorentina, Chiesa is the only good player. I have no idea why Benassi chose to go there. Awful decision.
Milan is quietly doing well this year. I really don't see Roma getting back in the top 3... I just wish we could have taken Radja Niangollan...however you say his name.
VAR's usage has been totally arbitrary. Two games in a row it should have been used against Inter, with a clear pk not being awarded to Roma last night and also Milan getting away with one as well, Bonucci brought down a Cagliari attacker in the box and... nothing. 901893117930086404 is not a valid tweet id
This is the biggest problem with VAR. The inconsistency that will ensue. PKs are still judgment calls, so unless every time a player goes down in the box it is reviewed it will still be pretty arbitrary. And even if each one IS reviewed the decisions will still not be consistent.
I watched the Valencia Vs Madrid game and was impressed by a very good Valencia packed with ex-Serie A players. They should have beaten Madrid if not for Casemiro who is incredible.
Of course it does. Now you are adding a whole 'nother layer to the inconsistency. Before it was just the ref. Now you have the VAR reviewer and then the ref again. Some refs will stick to their original decision unless it is crystal clear they were wrong, which is not always the case. Others will seem to think they have to go with what the VAR guy says. In our game, it was clearly the latter on both calls and we have already seen that the offside on the first one was missed by both the VAR and the ref in his second look. As it turns out, he was right initially but for the wrong reason. Then in the Inter game they didn't even consult VAR as the ref allowed play to continue on a foul at least as bad if not worse than the one that resulted in a PK for Genoa. Again, it was used differently in our game than the Inter game. Overall, so far, it has proved worse at least on PKs than with no VAR.
