LOL it's funny to see people get their panties in a bunch because someone engages in a peaceful protest. I'm wondering if some that claim to be proud Americans have the slightest clue what the First Amendment says or means.

Invoking the first amendment doesn’t absolve you of criticism. But I digress, rapinoe is a loser just like kaepernik.

It is not about politics, it is about idiots that have too much influence.

It's 100% about politics, some people don't like people that do things that they don't like, for political reasons. There are plenty of places to go talk politics here, let's keep it off the Juve forum.

Nah its about money like everything else. Her clothing line sales are probably up and the USA women's jersey is Nike's #1 seller. Smart move on Nike's and Rapinoe's part to capitalize on the Trump hate.

If having stupid hair was the deciding point between playing and riding the bench about half the male players would never get on the turf, and Pogba would be a free transfer with rebate coupons for the Juve store.

Agreed as to the criticism part, but taking issue with someone's hair because of her political/sociocultural views is juvenile to say the least--and the second part of your statement is factually mistaken because Rapinoe is one of the best female players in world football and has already won a World Cup and other honors.

You have to imagine that a good part of the members of any club/national side you support have political views differing from your own. It's foolish to not root for any one of those players on that basis. You can respect what an athlete does on the field and have different political views. It's just another part of being a sensible adult.

Well, one could argue that giving a damn about a game where 11 people kick a ball around a grass field is pretty juvenile in its own right.

Let alone when it's a group of people, supposedly the best in the world at their sport, who are regularly beaten by U-15 and U-16 sides.

I mean seriously, it would be less juvenile (and more entertaining) to watch paint dry instead.

Messi just dished off a beautiful ball to Dybala in the 3rd place game of the Copa America.

Vidal & Dybala are looking mixing it up....

Double red card in the 37th for Leo Messi & Gary Medel…....

10 v 10 the rest of the way....

So far, Argentina 2- Chile 0!
