I know you can't be offside a throw-in or a corner but not sure about a goal kick. Do you mean the opposing team kicking the ball from a goal kick to the forward who is an offside position?
There are three situations when there is no offside. On a throw-in as you stated, on a corner kick and on a goal kick.
Goal kick from your keeper. It is Law 11. It has to be direct though. Surprisingly, not a tactic seen much in the game.
Gazzetta says we benefitted from the non-call on Bernardeschi. They also question Koulibaly's goal. The one thing that hasn't been talked about much was Benatia's goal. I didn't think the offsides was as clear as they made it out to be.
You used to see this more in the old NASL days where they had the 35 yard offside line, but yes, you think more teams would try this the way some keepers can blast it down the field.
They only questions calls that supposedly help Juve. Not those that hurt them. But I have to say after the BS VAR that took away a goal (and a win) earlier in the season with a foul on Licht in the buildup, I was a bit worried about that happening again. From what I understood of the way VAR was supposed to work that kind of a situation was not supposed to be covered. But since it helped Juve, I was afraid we would see another one yesterday. The handball was the right call IMHO, but we have certainly seen those given. Wrongly IMHO from the letter of the law, but many refs give that.
What about his goal are they questioning? He executed it perfectly, losing his mark and then placing a textbook header. I tried to see if he did anything wrong to lose his marks but he made a big turn to get into position.
So Pecchia is claiming his keeper was fouled but it looked clean to me. Apparently the media is not allowed here but if you go to YouTube, go about the 2:30 mark.
Sooooo........the MeeLawn purchase was really a money laundering scheme???? http://www.calciomercato.com/en/new...g-investigation-opened-against-ac-milan-47218
Mertens offside on Napoli’s goal, of course it stands and they win and nobody complains. We all know the story if that were Juve.
It was close but I think it was onside. Also Hamsik scored a second that was controversially ruled out for offside while I am not sure if it was on or off.
You are either offside or your not. https://www.football-italia.net/115940/gasperini-balanced-encounter
He was off but when you play it that tight they aren't going to catch them all. And VAR has been inconsistently applied all year.
No, just pointing out that Caldara was poor on that play. He did little to close the angle or put pressure on Mertens. Hopefully it is a lesson learned with Atalanta and not one that is repeated when he comes to Juve.
So remember last summer, when the Italian sports media were raving about Joao Mario and Gabriel Barbosa (aka "Gabigol" LOL) and how that they were going revolutionize Inter and make them a dominant force in Serie A, but for realz this time? 6 months later Joao Mario is going on a dry loan to West Ham (that's how desperate he is to get out of Milano) and Gabi-no-gol is returning to Santos on a similar deal. I mean, this "club" can't even compete when they try. Or rather, especially when they try.
