What league did they play in? Actually, good catch but they weren't 100% Canadian sourced - Levon Helm was American. But an incredible group.
Aging myself - RUSH and Brian Adams were the big Canadian bands of my day...oh, and Loverboy...hangs head and walks slowly away And why is this in the OTT thread?
Like Ryered said, not pure Canadian. One of my favorites of all times. Saw them live ten times or so including the Rock of Ages show (later released as Live at the Academy of Music) and with Dylan on the Before The Flood tour. They were great on record and even better in person
Saw these guys a number of times too. Agreed one of the absolute greatest live bands ever. I still get chills remembering The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.
to each his own. i'm a big fan of Lanois, same with Brian Eno. you probably don't like the U2 album they produced, All that you can't leave behind.
Oh, you only love me for my big sun glasses And my Tony Lamas I live in Oklahoma And I've got long, blonde hair And I play guitar, and I go on the road And I do all the shit you wanna do And my dog does tricks And I ain't about drama, ya'll And I love my apron But I ain't your mama! So guess what? [Chorus:] You can't ride in my little red wagon The front seat's broken and the axel's dragin' No you can't step to this backyard swagger You know it ain't my fault when I'm walkin' jaws droppin' like Ooh, ahh, ooh, ahh
Watching the light blues vs the dark blues this morning. Men's and women's teams. Oxford vs Cambridge rowing 8s on the Thames. First time racing on the river for the women, Oxford won going away. The real race, the men's starts soon. Four and a quarter miles of pain. Nice day on the river with quite a crowd looking and partying on.
