It's being reported that Emre Can's contract has a release clause of €50 million, only valid for clubs outside Italy, and only in the third year of his contract.
As far as I know, he is. But at least we won't loose him on a free, even if 50m isn't as much as it used to be. I'm so thrilled that we've signed. I was hoping that we'd move for him when he was still at Leverkusen, but the timing wasn't right for us. The fact that he left Liverpool on a free (at least for them) makes me love him even more.
JUNE 27 Joao Cancelo moves to Juventus from Valencia for a fee of €40.4 million ($46,850,628 US). Payment will be payable over three years. Cancelo put pen to paper on a 5 year deal set to expire on June 30, 2023. http://www.juventus.com/en/news/news/2018/joao-cancelo-joins-juventus.php
Cancelo created 33 opportunities last campaign-the most of any defender in the Italian top-flight. While he also completed a league high of 38 successful dribbles. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6641862/juventus-sign-joao-cancelo-from-valencia/
Here we go with the exaggeration again. The issue with Cancelo was his pricetag. I don't recall anyone saying he's no good. The only one who has claimed a fullback that we have been linked with isn't good is you regarding Darmian, despite that fact that he is the more proven player at this point.
Giorgio Chiellini commits to the Bianconeri until 2020, while Andrea Barzagli extends his contract at the club until 2019 http://www.juventus.com/en/news/news/2018/chiellini-and-barzagli-renew-juventus-contracts.php/?
More proven? In what regard? As for anyone saying he's no good... not no good, just mediocre... Then there were other comments made alluding to him not being worth anything, especially if Spalletti didn't rate him.
Because he fills a role that the club has needed filled for a while now, he's young, has even more potential now that he's on a properly ran team and has already shown that he can play, and play well, in Serie A. I don't rate many RB's higher than him right now.
Let's hope he can defend. He is known for his attacking skills. If he turns into another Alex Sandro, we have problems.
