Interesting to wonder how things might've unfolded if Keylor doesn't make that 8 or 9/10 save on Pjanic's low piledriver early on.

Hope he's still our no. 1 next season.

It's the anticipation that makes it for me, the ball goes through 2/3 players from just outside the box and he's already on his was down as soon as its pasted the 18 yrd mark.

That was a tougher save than the one Buffon had to make on Casemiro's shot. Sure, Casemiro's shot took a major deflection, but it did so about at the same distance that Pjanic's shot came in from. Pjanic's shot was an in-curler, which made it even tougher to anticipate where it will end up. Major save. Also when the match was sealed, he came out and challenged Dybala (I think) and won the ball cleanly without giving up a penalty.

Zizou has a lot of say in the squad decisions. I hope he puts his foot down and demands Keylor stays because I really just can't stand the thought of De Gea.

Zidane is a genius and deserves all the credit for Keylor.

@Zidane05 you'll remember we had a discussion about why Zidane didn't drop him. We both agreed he was done at Madrid; you wanted Kiko to replace him, while I felt Kiko wasn't good enough.

Amazing how different things are now.

    What a player and manager.

I read he was sent back to Madrid early for rest since Costa Rica already qualified.

I wonder what De Gea did that Navas didn't do for him to get looked over for the Balon D'or.

DeGea is simply better than Navas. This by no means implies Navas is a bad GK.

De gea is miles ahead in marketability. Thats the main reason. However generally he is less mistake prone.

I hope to never see De Gea play for Madrid. He missed his chance when he couldn't grow a backbone to push for a move.

Kepa or Donnarumma should be the targets for the club to look at. Unless someone from Castilla can step up and take over from Navas.

De Gea is also massively overrated. He's not anywhere near the best keeper in the world.

De Gea is the best keeper in the world quite easily.

I Still to this day don't understand why just because he didn't "push for a move" here means that his ability needs to be understated and underrated on here.

    This.

That being said, I'm all for giving Moha Ramos a chance. He's already 1.90. Give him a run in the CDR.

Lol. He's not even the best keeper in England. And then he has Oblak and Neuer outside of England at a minimum.

    My thoughts exactly.

Lol. Atleti upgraded from him twice and ended up playing CL finals, ManU signed him and descended from CL finalists into mediocrity. Coincidence.

England? Pshh soon he won't even be the best in Manchester. Ederson is making a huge statement over at City.

I watched him early on in the season, and he wasn't doing too well. Haven't watched much City games lately tbf.

Neuer is hands down the best. We saw how good he's even when not at 100% against us last year. After that, Oblak, DDG and Courtois are more or less at the same level.
