He was cheap, the Quakes had no problem ockfording him.

These three signings I think (and hope) represent a big step in the right direction. We're starting to get players from our USL affiliate. We need more defenders, so Ockford in particular is probably a good signing for us. I want to see more players joining the first team from Reno. This is a really good sign.

And you Ian Russell doubters can suck it! He's clearly doing a good job up in Reno.

Best of luck to Ockford. Jimmy Ockford was a solid defender with the Cosmos, with the occasional burst of offense.

I like Ian. Of all the ex-pro players I’ve had as coaches in youth games I refereed, he’s the least dickish - along with Beast. He was also the nicest to the kids he was coaching. I never heard him utter a disparaging word.

 

We are going to have to consult the Ockxford Dictionary to find puns for this name.

Poor guy. Not the best of starts with the Quakes. Will need to re-watch the game to understand whether the problem was mostly him or a combination of his teammates.

 

Hopefully he does well for them and they send us some GAM in the off-season.

Jimmy is good, but he's not fast enough, especially for Almeyda's system. This should be another shot at MLS for him. I hope he fits in well with Nashville's system. He's a good organizer on the backline, so that might help him to stick.

Good luck to Jimmy. He isn't the most talented guy but I like his heart/desire. He came in last year and beat out two higher rated guys from europe and south america in affolter and quintana. He looked pretty solid his first couple games before being infected by the contagion of the 2018 stahre earthquakes dumpster fire.
