Where is Moe Johnstone when you need him. we could have easily traded him to TFC.

Here's the kind of small thing that drives me crazy about RW (and I'm one who thinks he's doing a decent job this year, and talk of firing a coach sitting on a record setting streak of minutes played without allowing a goal is just ridiculous.

We play a 4-5-1 to start the game:

    -----------Hesmer-----------
    Miranda--James--Chad--Balchan
    -----------Burns-----------
    Duka------Ekpo------Rogers
    -----------Gaven----------
    ----------Renteria---------

Bench: Gruenebaum; Iro, Gardner; Rusmir; Heinemann, Cunningham, Mendoza.

We start one forward, yet have 3 on the bench. We start 5 midfielders, and have 1 on the bench. There is no natural replacement for Duka, Rogers, Ekpo, or Gaven on that subs bench.

I guess one could say that if we need a goal, we should be putting on forwards. But the only like for like sub we can make among the front 5 is Heinemann for Renteria. Every other sub will change the setup. If thngs are going swimmingly, and we're up, and someone gets a knock, we HAVE to change. Is RW thinking Mendoza/Cunningham will play wide? Gardner?

Sorry, but Griffit or Anor should be on the bench. No tactical reason for both Cunningham and Mendoza to be on the bench.

Well I can't speak for anyone else, certainly, but I'd rather not have him sitting there naked.

+1, and I've made this comment multiple times this season.

On top of not having enough midfielders available, RW has *twice* mentioned injuries of players on the bench (Iro earlier in the season, Mendoza this past Saturday) in his post-game comments. If these guys aren't match fit, how can they be better options than the extra midfielders in street clothes? Do Griffit and Anor really suck?

Who wants to bet that Cunningham and Mendoza have clauses in their contracts that guarantee at least a dressing before any game...

I kind of agree with the if you are not fit enough to play then you are not fit enough for the bench. That certainly holds true for a squad based game that soccer has now become. However, at the same time, I will put my potential game changers on the bench, even if I can only eek out 15 mins. And remember, match fitness only comes with....playing matches! Hoping that the reserve league would provide the opportunity for returning players to get their fitness levels up, a well as keeping our squad players hungry for first team action

    Here's my issue...

If Mendoza was *really* that injured then why in the hell did he don the goalkeeper gloves at practice in the stadium last week (Thursday I believe) and dive all over the place, left and right, trying to stop balls during a shooting drill. Doesn't seem like something someone with a sore hammy should be doing, right?

Roster management and substitution patterns aren't exactly RW's strong suit.

Just a couple of the reasons why this thread exists.

Exposed: I have been red carded for trolling in Sh!tcago forums.

Also, I once created a sock puppet which our number one moderator gave me a slap on the wrist and told me to knock it the hell off.

(sorry for the late response - getting close to exam time and the last few weeks were spent on appellate brief + oral arguments)

    There's nothing there that's cardworthy.

Pricks like the Union mods would demand a forum ban - hell, they banned me for telling a guy that trying to organize and encourage fights with visiting fan groups made him an "idiot" which would seem to me to be about as undeniable as a statement could be - and some mods would simply delete the post and move on.

Don't see how that's much of a big deal there.

    We are targets, BA.

The Union supporters probably have a thread stickied that tells all of their stupid fans that THE Bill Archer cannot post on their forums, so therefore, they are free to continue swimming in the lake of s**t and no one will bother them.

Something I've wondered: Uniontown is a nothing of a town, yet you two both live there. What are the odds?

    Hmmmmm.

Do you two have something to tell us? :)

Although, now that I think of it, I've never seen both of them in the same place at the same time, have you?
